We had an exelent time.

The room was great, the dinner in there restorant was great but a littel pricy.

In the spa we ware a littel anoide by peopel coming into sauna whit baiding sutes. And the turkish steam room was broken and I BUREND MY BACK ON HOT WATER DRIPING from the stiming machine.

After I told the staff they dident even ask me if I am OK....

We will be back naxt year.

The Hotel lone is a modern (built 2011) hotel with rooms overlooking the Adriatic Ocean. The design is extremely well thought out. I have done 200 trips to Europe staying in many wonderful hotels (always 4 or 5 star hotels) but the Lone stands out.It is an easy 10-15 minute walk to the center of Rovinj but one is tempted to stay on the hotel grounds. Swimming pools,a private beach it has it all. The staff is excellent, The Best!!

The hotel is lovely. There are wide open, architecturally interesting spaces. The landscaping is beautiful and relaxing. There are well designed restaurants and bars everywhere. The beach is scenic and there were always sufficient lounge chairs. Still, there is something odd and off about the hotel. The service was a bit awkward and often unfriendly. I think it was trying for formality and ettiquete, but often staff, waiters or bartenders came accross and cold or rude. We stayed for a week, but were often asked whether we were guests. We were told we could not have a glass of wine without a meal at an empty restaurant bar, that we could not stand and have a beer while watching a show in the back (despite all the seats being taken) and it was always work to close a tab. Room service was great once and never arrived the next time. Still, the location is very good. It is quiet and yet an enjoyable and beautiful walk to the city center.

Room Tip: Only suites have views, but nearly every public space has a view

We are happy to see that overall you had a nice time with us but on the other hand very sad to see that you found our service to be unfriendly and rude. We will for sure discuss that with relevant head of departments although we are getting mostly good comments on our staff.
Apologies if that issue made your stay less enjoyable because that's why we are all here for, to make our guests stay a memorable experience and things like that shouldn't happen.

We were here for second time. Everything was fine again except prices. Prices last weekend was unreal. After all staying was good. The wellness is very crowded. I recommend hotel for young couples. They are also pet friendly.

This is indeed a very unique hotel. My husband chose it and initially I thought it was going to look like IKEA, although on the whole it didn't I do feel as though the 'unique' design lacked a little luxury for a 5* hotel.
Our room was very large with a beautiful view over the bay, very nice bathroom and good sized fridge which they didn't mind us using for our own food & drinks.

Pool is beautiful and the bay is absolutely stunning. Great for little kids as it is shallow with pebbles- so no sand in everything!

Breakfast is incredible. Although it didn't change during the 2 weeks, there was so much choice it didn't really need to.

Location is fab, there is a beautiful walk way along the water front leading to the marina, where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. I would mention that the walk to the main hub of Rovinj is a good 20 minute walk.
There is also a couple of shops near by for supplies.

Wellness centre is by far the best I have ever experienced (and is a million times better than the Mullini next door which is double the price... and they have to use the Lone spa!).

Something I quite liked was that you can come and go as you pleased without having to pass through reception everytime, as the hotel is built on a hill so there are different levels to access.

All staff were polite however we did notice that the Croatians/Rovinj people don't possess the same customer service approach which we expect in the UK. It was rather more blunt but this was the same throughout Rovinj. Not necessarily a hotel criticism just something to be aware of.
The reception staff were very polite but they don't tell you anything. There are a lot of facilities, evening entertainment, food options (Sunday coffee and cake) and things happening in the local area (festival, tours to Venice etc) which they told us nothing about. It was very much find out for yourself.

All in all a great holiday and we would be happy to return :)

It's great to see that your stay was such a nice one, and that you enjoyed our offer. Many thanks for mentioning our Spa, it is indeed a great one. Our breakfast offer is as well amazing and in fact we are soon introducing some changes to make it even better.
The location we think as well that is perfect, close to the park and a short walk to the City center sourrounded by the beautiful sea. The great thing about Lone as you've said is that although it is quite big you never feel it to be overcrowded!
We will for sure mention to our front desk to be more generous in giving out informations about activities, cause we sure have a lot of them.
