Having previously stayed in 2 private apartments in the Old Town, this was a gem of find for the final part of our stay in Croatia this year.

A very smart boutique hotel with 20 rooms. Bright, spacious and tastefully decorated.

Our room was on the second floor, with a balcony overlooking the pool and garden area - perfect. The bathroom was well equipped with a separate bath and shower. The bathroom has a clear glass window into the bedroom area, which allows for natural light to shine in (there is also a privacy curtain in the bedroom if required).

The reception area/bar/restaurant has been cleverly designed to flow between the 3 areas. Again this area is bright and spacious, and modernly decorated.

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices to keep everyone happy. We didn't take any evening meals during our stay but what we did see other guests having looked very good.

All staff -reception, waiting and housekeeping were very polite and helpful. The pool area is well maintained with sun beds and parasols.

Restaurants and bars are only a ten minute walk away with the Old Town area being about 20 minutes away - great for an evening stroll.

There is a stony beach close by servicing the Maestra chain of hotels (Hotel Lone, Eden & Monte Molini), however be aware the prices for sun beds are extortionate for non guests - minimum of £50 per day for 2 sunbeds and a parasol!! There are beach alternatives further away. But better still just laze by the pool on your non sightseeing days :-)

Keep up the good work Hotel Arupinum, we will return.

Room Tip: Rooms over looking the pool also overlook main road but are still quiet. Rooms to the rear of the property overlook a residential block.

Small hotel with swimming pool. Very trendy rooms, but not very practical. Does anyone really want a glass wall between bathroom and bedroom?! Thankfully there was a curtain which stayed firmly drawn whilst we we there. I do believe that designers should actually stay in the rooms they have have designed! There was no mirror with a power point nearby so if you use your own hair tongs, do pack a mirror or a very long adapter! The wash basin is so shallow as to be pretty useless. The shower door ( glass again) opens outwards so you soak the bathroom floor when emerging as the water runs off the door and the bath mat wont stay just outside the door. Enough storage but all tiny spaces so your clothes and possessions are scattered around the room. Lovely to have a kettle in the room but some bottled water and tissues would have been a niice gesture for such an upmarket hotel. Big comfortable bed but disappointing pillows with no support.
Breakfasts were nice with lots of variety and coffee so much better than usual hotel offerings. Lovely staff. We were planning to eat dinner at the hotel on a few evenings, but the menu and ambience could not compete with the old town or the harbour side. It was not well frequented though I have no doubt the food was good.
It’s an easy walk into town or to the waterside and proximity to the National Park with its delightful ales and coastline is attractive for walking or cycling.

Room Tip: If you prefer open indows open rather than air con ask for a room at the back, those at the front overlook the road.

This was an awesome hotel with great service and very nice rooms. The staff where very friendly, food was good and they have a very nice swimming pool. The only negative is that they are not walking distance to the old town, but otherwise could not find anything wrong.

There is nothing wrong with this hotel, clean, friendly, ok breakfast, ok pool. But it could be a corporate hotel anywhere in the world on an industrial estate. There is nothing of Rovinj in it. If you just want a good hotel room and don't mind a 10 minute walk to the interesting parts then its fine. But it made me feel I was on a business trip rather than on hols.

Room Tip: There all exactly the same
