What more can I say? Good food and great prices keep me coming back each visit to Moorea. They even have bacon for breakfast, WOOHOO! They close at 3pm FYI.

For $45, we had 2 drinks, an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert. If you have been on Moorea, you know this is hard to achieve for that little money haha. This was absolutely a gem of a place and I really wish we had gone on the first day instead of our last lunch on the island otherwise we would have come by a lot more often.

This place does not take credit cards, however it does take US dollars (a straight 100xpf=$1 which is a better rate than any bank or cashier!).

SERVICE/AMBIENCE
This cafe had plenty of inside seating, which is nice to avoid bugs and general humidity. There is a generous sauce station as well. When you enter, you grab a lunch tray, order food at the counter and pay. When you are done you place your lunch trays on a metal rack on the side. We got there at 11am and just missed the lunch crowd. By the time we were leaving a constant stream of locals we're flowing through the cafe. I saw people ordering trays with covered plates and heading out the door. If the locals love it, you know it's a good spot!! Service isn't fawningly nice but good enough! With so many locals coming through you can tell they aren't trying to overly impress tourists lol.

FOOD

Drinks: I ordered a wonderful pineapple juice which they pressed right in front of me in their juicer. Ryan ordered a lemon juice that came in a very large bottle. Very refreshing!

Appetizer: We ordered a tuna tartare on wonton chips with avocado to start. It was topped with brussel sprouts and a tiny dollop of fish egg. We doused it with chili water from the sauce station and enjoyed it tremendously!!

Moz Shrimp and Crab Burger
Nothing too fancy here but tasty! It was served with a basket of fries. The Patty was a little small upon first glance so I didn't have high hopes but it was quite good--crispy and savory with entire shrimps hidden in the patty. They had spread a lovely Dijon on the bun.

Seared Ahi
This is Ryan's favorite so of course he had to get this and he was not disappointed! It was served with a heaping hill of rice and a vat of pepper gravy.

Dessert: What a perfect way to end a great meal. We split a strawberry and cream layered cake (the last one in the case). It was creamy, light and fresh.

All in all, an excellent spread of food for a great price!

Mediocre food and very poor Internet. Go to Moorea Beach Cafe just down the road where we had to go to get good food and very solid Internet.
