We had a very warm and welcoming experience at Rama Heritage hotel. The staff were very very welcoming and the food was the best food we'd had in India yet. Also a clean and cosy place at a good price. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

Stayed: February 2017, travelled as a couple

We were three families and we stayed in 1 Royal Suite and 2 Super Deluxe rooms. The rooms are well laid out and are roomy. As it was Christmas holidays the hotel was booked and had mostly family crowd. The tariff is inclusive of vegetarian breakfast which was a good spread with nice service provided. They have limited parking available inside the premises, if it gets full have to park outside the hotel. Overall the stay was pleasant and we enjoyed. Wifi is available on request @ no extra charge. The hotel is however a business hotel

Room Tip: Does not have view from windows/balcony as views are blocked by opposite buildings

Pros - Location is excellent , bus stand, mumbai naka and all travel agencies are closeby within walking distance, kalika temple is just behind one minute walk, rooms are ok limited space for family inside the room, for one or two nights is ok.reception staff and check in is ok.

Cons - Lots and Lots , waiters are all new and untrained, they will offer you tea in cup and plate without spoon you have to ask shall i stir with my finger then they will say oh sir yes yes. The waiters will keep looking at your face in the restaurant when you are having food as if you are monkeys in zoo.As the space in the restaurant is very limited and the hotel is mostly occupied by sales representatives the idea is the waiters to keep coming to your table so that you eat and get out fast.Good strategy of waiters. The uniform of some of the waiters especially the trousers look like year 1945 pants.
the shower in the bathroom is designed in a very unsuitable manner when you stand below the shower the water hits the wall so you have to stand touching the wall and for people with height they have to sit and take bath under shower as the towel tray is exactly positioned in the opposite direction at low height. so you have no choice but to take water in bucket and take bath. It is a mess inside the bathroom with very poor positioning of shower and gap between the towel tray and the wall. the water pipe to wash your rear in the toilet is again positioned awkward.the pipe is too long.

Overall not suitable for families at all, good for sales representatives and single travellers or in transit for one or two nights.Buffet in the restaurant is okay but once the trays are empty the waiters are aware but unless you tell them they will not fill the bowls with food.another good strategy of waiters give only when they ask,if they dont ask dont give.
Danger - the lift has a sizeable gap between the lift door and the exit so your feet especially of children and senior citizens can get trapped in the gap while coming out of the lift.the gap is too wide especially in first floor and one more floor.this is extremely dangerous . the lifts are old style so need to extremely careful as there is no liftman.

This hotel has location advantage but it is sad that they are targeting only sales staff.Strictly avoidable for families.

Room Tip: Families please strictly avoid this hotel,it is good for sales representatives only and for one night two nights or in transit.

Dear Sir,

Thank You for taking the time to write a review on Trip Advisor.

We truly appreciate your feedback, as it is indeed an indicator by which we can measure our achievements and shortcomings in providing the best of our services to our Valued Guests, such as your Esteemed Self.

With due respect to you Sir, mentioned below please find our response to your concerns:

A] Restaurant and Waiters - Spoon was not provided with tea in cup as it was an already prepared, boiled Tea with adequate sugar and milk. The purpose of waiters keeping a constant watch on Guests is to be more helpful and available immediately if one needs anything. Regarding uniform, we are in the process of getting new sets done which will be ready within a week and all our restaurant staff will flaunt the same. With due respect to you Sir, we would like to state that we are a reputed Business Hotel in the city and all our clients are Corporate Guests.

B] Bathroom and Shower - The Shower is very much adjustable Sir and can be well adjusted [move up, down or sideways] as per Guest’s requirement. Also, the water pipe besides the commode is of normal standard size which is used everywhere.

C] Lifts - There was a gap between the lift door and exit due to some technical snag. We have addressed this issue and necessary servicing and maintenance has been done now.

We deeply regret that we could not exceed your expectation and fell short to provide you with the facilities and services of your taste.

Look forward to your goodwill and kindness Sir.

Thank You - Ajay

Normally I prefer to stay on the outskirts to avoid huzzle and buzzle of city. This time around, due to some confusion in booking I had to look for an option at the last minute. I wonder why the hotel is called heritage as the only item I saw that remotely denotes heritage is a copper pot in restaurant! Nevertheless, full marks on service and cleanliness... wonder why the ac condensation ducts dispense water on your head while relaxing in the balcony... did they forget ducting ?
