You have to go through the Mae Sai market to get to this temple, once you are there you have to climb a lot of steps to get to this Burmese Temple. Once you get there it is the most beautiful temple I have seen and it was the first time I saw Thai ladies monks/nuns. There is a scorpion statue here, as the temple is named after this scorpion and then you get on the top of the temple you can have breath taking views of Burma and Mae Sai and you can see the Emerald and many different types of Budda here. It is a must visit when you come to this area.

Atop a hill, the view overlooks Mae Sai and the Myanmar border. At the foot of the long concrete stairway are dozens of market shops.

Came here as a part of an organized tour, the temple itself (and the surrondings) are tacky and cheap even, but the view makes up for it. Not sure if you should go there only to see it, the surroundings are busy and traffic is crazy.

We came here to view the landscape of the northeast territorial border of Thailand, across the bridge, the river is Burmese. You could find the traffic there is busy. And there are good policy for locals to trade and transport between the area around.
