I just dropped for a night here after a quick meeting....hotel room was spaciius but a bit scary,dull and not enough lighting i thought..small eating area to accommodate breakfast...included miserable nasi lemak....oooooh!

I am not staying in this resort but the resort I am staying is just a stone throw away from Bayu Beach Resort. And I just walked to the beach for a stroll. Unfortunately, I was bitten by sandflies. Itchy and pain!!!
Definitely needs refurbishment. The only thing that it really has going for it is the sea view, and that the staff was friendly. However, I have been to much better beach locations in PD. There were a lot of sandflies. The room
Has a mini fridge, but turns it off when the room key is taken out, so I’m
not sure if the benefit of having one, because it is impossible to keep anything cool. All amenities need updating, but I think the worst experience for me was the huge number of flies being allowed to swarm all over the breakfast buffet. My advice... pay a wee bit more and go to the Thistle... that’s what I’ll be doing next time.
Good location and reasonable price. The staffs are friendly and willing to serve. Anyway the room need to refurnish and the facility are "out of date". If you are looking for reasonable price and strategic location then is not a bad choice.
hotel Place: easy to find via waze. the hotel room are okay, you know the place is old but still fine to stay for overnight.
Food: we book room with breakfast buffet. we arrived during Ramadan and we were the only gueat on our first day, so the buffet were not served. they offered ala carte menu instead, I asked the reception why this was not informed before hand, i understand that they need to reach quota before they will offer buffet breakfast, but they should have at least informed us beforehand. The lady in the Cafeteria was generous enough to provide us free flow of toasts and coffee and juice. so its still okay for me. luckily on the next day they managed to reach quota so buffet breakfast was served. The food tastes very delicious and on point by the way. so even they gave ala carte menu on our first day, we are still satisfied.
Service: I must commend their service is great providing all our requests in an instant. like extra towels and complimentary water.
location: based on other reviews, the hotel is in front of the best beach water of Port Dickson, and I must say they are right, other beachfront doesn’t look good and even the water were not okay to swim to, but in Bayu Beach, the water, though a little bit dirty due to seaweeds, it doesn’t have any other dirty debris.
Overall ok n suitable for kids with family.
Nice n clean beach.
Not ok-need to put signage no smoking at pool area!!! Got no manner guy (one of the parent), takecare if his child nearby the kids pool n smoking.
Surrounding nearby kids were swimming n he don't bother!
