“Good Chinese cuisine in Port Dickson.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 October 2011

We were in PD for a 1 night stopover. Kemang seafood was recommended by a friend. We did not order lavish dishes, just simple fried rice, Hokkien noodles and Japanese toufu with vege. The taste was simply good. I heard their crab is good, will definitely go back there...;)

“In one word: Expensive!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 September 2011

Kemang beach is the most popular beach in port dickson, therefore restaurants here are expensive, simple dish can cost you 50% more compared to other places in Negeri sembilan. I would suggest you to drive a little further than the beach to checkout for restaurants. Personally , i prefer chinese cuisine. Kemang Seafood definately not my choice.

“Avoid at all cost during peak periods”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2009

Been there twice. Once in 2006 and the other in July last year. The first trip wasn't bad. Probably because it wasn't during peak period. I believe we had dinner on a Sunday night and there was hardly anybody around. It was pleasant to say the least.

But last July, we were celebrating my sister's birthday and boy , how different things turn up. The drinks came soon enough. We ordered ikan bakar and several other entries. The ikan bakar came and we starting munching on it and after looking around at other tables and seing the guests exasperated looks because of the long waits, we decided to leave and just order in at our hotel.

“A place to avoid especially on local public holidays”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2008

We had a good time on our family trip down to Cape Rachado, Blue Lagoon... except for our bad experience at dinner.

Since it was the Hari Raya public holidays, a lot of city dwellers had taken the opportunity to flock to the beaches of Port Dickson. The restaurants were jam packed and after driving down we ended up at this one which didn't seem too bad of a crowd.

Unfortunately this was a bad decision - not only did we have to wait close to an hour and a half to get our food (extremely slow for chinese fare); the portions were not sufficient for 10 ppl (at best the fried rice could've fed five children), the shellfish was not fresh, the chicken in our chilli-chicken was minced and coated heavily with flour and everything was treated to a liberal dose of MSG.

I'm usually a pretty patient person - but i don't tolerate rudeness. When 45minuts in, we asked the boss of the restaurant who was tasked with taking orders how much longer the wait would he replied "why don't you go into the kitchen yourself and ask the chef".

If we weren't desperate with hunger and had a choice, we would have walked out of there asap.
