The address given for the hotel says Paya so I was directed by locals in Mersing to get off the ferry at Paya. However when I arrived I couldn't get from Paya to the hotel. To get to the hotel you have to get off the ferry at Tekek, get a shuttle bus to Berjaya Resort and then another shuttle up to the hotel. Because of this it is quite tucked away and a fair distance from the town - but is walkable in the day time if you're up for a bit of a trek.
The rooms are spacious if a little old fashioned. My room had a mini fridge and microwave which was useful. However the TV and phone didn't work. I wouldn't recommend the breakfast but if you're hungry it's fine.
The staff really make this place! They were so helpful and polite with suggestions of things to do and how to do them. They also brought round fresh coconuts to people sitting round the pool.
There's a secluded beach just a 5-10 min walk from the hotel which is beautiful and well worth checking out. The only annoying thing is the shuttle bus as others have mentioned but I think it's a minor inconvenience for the price. Plus you get to use all the main resort facilities which is a bonus! More
