Seaventures Dive Rig had their first experience I was told with an entire group of children from "BYond Skool...Adventures", Mumbai for an exclusive dive trip and a couple of kids did their advance certification as well..
It was an unique and great experience for the children and we were well looked after by a very friendly and hospitable staff.
A big thank you to the entire dive team, staff and crew for making this a very memorable experience for us... Ramesh, Kyna, Mitch, Lawrence, Janine a special thanks for an awesome dive experience..
I will definitely be back with another group of kids and have them experience the same...

Hi Almas H,

Scuba diving with young children should always be fun and enjoyable but at the same time, safety is of course, of main priority. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, we are so pleased to know that the team's hard work and dedication are appreciated. The whole team took up the challenge and had a great time showing the young divers the underwater world. We look forward to seeing all of you soon.

Best regards, edrie

Location is superb, central to all dive spots in the area.
Plus they have a superb Sun deck for unblocked views of the sunset and sunrise.
Food is great, with special grill on Friday nights.
The crew takes safety and order seriously, most organised dive system I've seen, which makes it very convenient for all divers.
The crew is really friendly and experienced as well. kudos to our dive master Mitchell for looking out for us and keeping us safe.
But don't expect luxurious accommodation, although there's always the option for you to upgrade to VIP rooms.

Hi Hui Shan C,

Great to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Being a former oil-rig, our room may be small but nevertheless, comfortable and clean. We are not the typical resort hotel with grand facility but a rustic platform located in middle of the sea. The experience itself living on the Rig is an added bonus with the great diving available in the area.

We are pleased to know that you appreciate the dive schedules and system we implement. Dive planning helps with guests to fully enjoy their scuba diving vacation and at the same time, keeping it safe.

Thank you again for your full-star review, we look forward to hear from you again soon.

Happy bubbles!

We fit in about 5 dives a day including a night dive. After every dive, we were served with nice food - simple and fresh. The rooms are basic but really - you wouldn't be spending your time on the room anyways. Go to the upper deck - there is a nice viewing area. We went for a 5 days trip and was so happy that we get to fit in 2 trips to Sipadan.

If you want to see Sipadan, there is really no other place you should be staying at as the resorts in Mabul charges about 500 to 600 for a single trip to Sipadan (last time we checked!)

The dive below the rig itself is amazing with tonnes of marine life.

HOWEVER, we went there after a dive hiatus of 1 year and was expecting some sort of refresher - but we werent given any. Our first dive was kind of awkward - so do get some diving in before you come here.

Do also double triple check your equipment (even when they have prepared everything) before taking it underwater. Just a word of advise!

Hi atiyahnor,

Thank you for sharing your stay and dive experience with us, we appreciate it. We are glad you enjoyed 2 days of permits (6 dives) to Sipadan on a short stay. Our rooms and facility are basic but given that we are on a converted oil Rig.

We notice that your travel date was back in July 2016. We wished you have written sooner or shared with us your experience directly as we would of been able to clarify any, and all issues you had during your stay. We offer Refresher and remind all certified divers in our booking email that if they have not dived in a while, they will need to sign up (at an extra cost) for a Refresher dive. This (Refresher dive) will normally be booked in advance. If this was booked and not fulfilled by our team, we apologize and request that you get in touch with us.

Any first dives after a hiatus will be awkward. Our Rig dive on arrival day is a Rig orientation dive where the dive guide will show our in-house guests how to navigate the house reef using the Rig's pillar as a guide.

Our dive gears are serviced regularly and we do get new gears in often due to wear and tear. Divers are required to ensure their gears are set up correctly and do a buddy check before every dive. This is common practice and if you have found your gears to be faulty, you should let your dive guide know.

Thank you again for staying with us. Hopefully, we will be hearing from you again soon.

Have a nice day.

Had such a great one week stay at this refurbished oil right. although rooms are basic, they are sufficient for showering and cozy given that you will spend most of your time diving or on the sun decks chilling. Divemasters were great company and we also secured 2 days diving visa at sipadan island. Sunset views from the sundeck was lovely, and the delicious food prepared every meal made the rig felt like a home away from home. Unlimited dives at the house reef, where the lift will take you right down to sea level, and if you are feeling brave, you can also attempt a jump off the platform!

Hi Daphne_CBT,

Thank you for sharing your stay & dive experience with us plus giving us a full 5-star. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us, meeting and diving with the Rig crews, enjoying two days of Sipadan. The Rig life is how you make it to be, either relaxing by the decks for some sun time or hanging out on the maindeck with new diving friends. The lift jump is a to-do and we hope you did it as it would complete your Rig experience. If you didn't there is always next time. More reason to come back and we hope you do.

Happy bubbles!

You will save a lot of travel time with Seaventure if your agenda is: DIVE, EAT, SLEEP
Lovely staff and fantastic food. you can even book a trip to the nearby Mabul island for a short evening walk. A unit of "SWAT" team patrol and stay onboard to ensure safety.

Hi edwin_moo,

Thank you very much for the brief but helpful review. Glad you enjoyed your time on the Rig, diving, eating and relaxing. The short boat trip to the Mabul is a must-do in the afternoon to see for yourself how the locals of Mabul lives. As for the SWAT team, they are the ESSCOM guard stationed on our Rig to monitor and ensure the safety of the Rig and area nearby.

Thank you once again and we look forward to seeing you "on board" in the future.

Happy Bubbles!
