Full day tour from Sandakan which we booked through the delightful Myra at the Sheraton Sandakan. Our tour leader Paul was excellent. His knowledge and enthusiasm was a credit to him and his guidance through the cave was brilliant. Captain Sam on the river was diligent in finding wildlife for us to photograph and went beyond our expectations.
Would highly recommend this day tour to anyone wishing to see native animals in the wild and have the amazing cave experience.

We stayed two nights we had no electricity for 36 hours not resort’s fault but it did make it very hot in the rooms. The food was great considering no power. We were washed out on both river cruises in the afternoon but still got to see crocs, monkeys, hornbills. We were very lucky to have a flying lemur visit the resort with her baby. Also a group of macaques visited the resort. Please watch the railings as due to termites could and do give way if lent against.

My boyfriend and I visited Bilit Adventure Lodge for 2 nights, given that it was the low season we were the only guests staying on our second night. The staff went to efforts asking what we would like for meals and Leo our guide dis everything to make our stay special. Being big nature enthusiasts we really enjoyed the river trips and spotted a wild orangutan along with Probiscus monkeys and crocs. The night walks are lovely as it's a very peaceful area there isn't much else to do in the evenings, so wandering around spotting the strange local wildlife was great. Overall a highlight for us due to the hospitality and our luck with the animals! Thanks to everyone there.

We had 2 nights here and we loved it. Super friendly staff. Food good (pancakes at breakfast highly recommended!). We did 3 river trips - saw loads of wildlife including various monkeys, Pygmy elephant and crocs. The night trek was amazing (recommend hiring the wellies and leech socks myr10 for both items). Matt was our guide for that plus on the boat trips and it’s incredible how he can spot something! We both planted a tree (myr10 per tree) so feel we’ve contributed something back! The sounds of the jungle are incredible. I highly recommend this place.

We stayed at Bilit adventure lodge for 3 incredible days that has been our highlight of Borneo so far. On our 3 river cruises we saw orangutans (!!), pygmie elephants, proboscis monkeys, langur monkeys, two different types of macaques and many different birds. We also loved our day and night time jungle walks with very knowledgeable local guides where we saw an incredible diversity of plants, insects, sleeping birds, wild boars, frogs, badgers and even a banded civet! The sounds of the jungle at night were just magnificent. The accommodation was comfortable, the food varied, the location incredible and the staff so helpful, friendly and hospitable. Would recommend to anyone!
