We booked the bnb for 3 nights, our room was a superior suite it was huge with a double bed and bunk bed! Room had air con and a ceiling fan which was much needed! The heat around there is crazy! Restaurant food was ok cheaply priced but very small portions! Breakfast basic! Bread, eggs and noddles and rice! Basically breakfast is between 7-9 if you go at like 8.15-8.30 you just have to eat what’s left they don’t top up the food once it’s gone which is terrible really it should be topped up till breakfast is finished! We booked a trip to the river for a cruise with our hotel they told us it was booked and that was it! No information about it, no telling us what time they were collecting us or coming back just literally no help at all. The staff were always polite but they really do need some pointers in customer service as this was the only thing lacking here!

This little B & B was perfect for our needs. Short 20min walk to the orang-utans and the bears and only down the road from the rainforest centre. We arrived just after 10pm and the hotel staff waited specifically for us and then even guided us to our lodge, as it was quite dark. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and the food was reasonably priced and was very tasty. Breakfast is basic (toast, fried rice, fried noodles, fruit, eggs to order and french toast on one our mornings), but was sufficient and on par with other places that we stayed. Definitely recommend.

I stayed at the doorm. Had it all to myself. No other people in the house, with the exception of the maintenance guy. I left my room for maybe 15-20 min to go to the reception. When I came back I noticed someone been going through backpack. I can not say for certain that I looked the door, but I think I did. From my backpack a Samsung tablet 10.5, a Cree flashlight and some other small things where missing.
This place is quite "isolated" and has many buildings on an large open area. When the "maintaince" man was confronted, he said he had not seen anyone else around and he himself had not taken the tablet.
To me this is obvious..The maintaince guy, who where around at the time, saw me leaving the building and went in to my room, with or without key stole the things....

Otherwise.. You get what you pay for.. Cheap fan doormbed (45myr+10 for ac), and pricey double rooms. Clean place I would say. Nice girls at the reception. Breakfast very basic. Coffee undrinkable... Fruits where bananas.
Obviously I can't recommend this place, there are better options nearby. Me and 2 other couples where the only guests at this huge place... Makes you wonder why..?

Mostly fine. But not impressed when asked to pay again, after paying in advance. Also not impressed almost complete absence of wifi in room, although told it would be available. Good location, and nice grounds.

My husband and I stayed here two nights while visiting Sepilok in Hornbill Lodge. The staff were very friendly. We ended up booking a room that accommodates 4 even though we were only two people in part because it was confusing on the website. Our room (and it seemed like most) had a balcony where you could sit and listen to the wildlife. The bed was decent and the shower (given the location and price) was good.

We didn't have a car while we were there but it was a super easy walk to the rainforest discovery center and a hot but doable walk to the Orangutan Rehabilitation Center. The included breakfast was good (if limited) and they had additional more western options for a cost if you preferred something else. Lunch and dinner prices were a good value and the food was decent. One of the best things we had was the roti canai. Would be happy to stay there if I go to Sepilok again.
