I stayed at the Borneo Nature Lodge for 2 nights as part of a 3 day trip - a fabulous place with warm and welcoming staff. They catered fully for my vegetarian needs, and I left a lot heavier than I arrived! (Amazing homemade cakes in the afternoon!).
The room had both a fan and air con - which was a life saver! It was clean and catered for all my needs. The lodge was peaceful, with so many butterflies, birds and other wildlife, but was very easy to completely chill out.
Our boat driver could sense, (and smell!) when the elephants were present, and was particularly cognoscente of when I wanted to take photos, allowing me to spend more time at certain places. He even enticed a juvenile Pygmy elephant to come to our boat by playing a game! The trip was packed full of nature / wildlife that I had wanted to see, including the elusive orangutan (x 2!) and proboscis monkeys. Lots of fun and a truly memorable experience.More
