Family and I have been in this hotel around 10 years ago. It definitely looks better now. I'm staying with my family in the Family Room which consist of 2 Queen beds and 1 single bed.
If you are on a budget and won't be staying for long this hotel is suitable for you. If you have a little more budget then perhaps you can try other hotel.

This place is good for family visit. The room is big, spacious and the price is reasonable. Workers are friendly but the owner did not put in effort to maintain the place. The heater takes at least 10 minutes to work.The toilet is smelly. The surrounding of the hotel is not clean.
Good clean friendly staff friendly management. Location is excellent right in the middle of town. From the hotel you can walk to the nearby old market place especially for tourist you and feel the day to day activities of a miri housewife
Booked a room with double queen bed for RM 100. Quite clean and spacious. Design and furniture is a bit old. Air conditioning is good, able to cool the room on a sunny day. Requested for extra towel, but then were told that there's none extra.
Parking space is available for free for hotel guests.
The Raja Inn features private, reasonably-sized rooms, reasonably clean, with a reasonable degree of maintenance, priced appropriately for its quality, but is not a hotel that would be considered remotely memorable. Internet does not work in the rooms and may be dodgy in the foyer. The front and common areas look acceptable but the rooms border on the shabby.
On my vacation to Mt Mulu, I happen to stay at this budget hotel introduce by a taxi driver, during my transit in Miri. My stay I had experience friendly staffs, clean room with free wifi, walking distance to tourist attraction like heritage centre, oil well grand old lady, shopping mall & food centre etc... With the rate I had paid its worth the value. I will recommend it to my friends from Australia.
