We are fine with the hotel in overall. The parking space seems not enough during weekend. No beach at the hotel, looks like not allow to be accessed maybe due to the depth of the sea water. We enjoyed the swimming pool and sunset. We would like to stay at this same hotel again if we going to re-visit Miri again.

We chose an ocean view room and stayed for a night before leaving for Mulu .Check in was smooth. It was a busy weekend and the restaurant was packed for dinner. Wish the guests woud be more thoughtful instead of filling up their plates to the brim and leaving some of their food untouched. Buffet breakfast was great .The staff were marvelous, right from concierge, to check in and departure. Room was comfortable , but very much dated. Despite the beautiful ocean view , our room was also overlooking the massive swimming pools, and it was noisy even in the evenings . However, we would definitely choose the Miri Marriott again for our next trip to Mulu again, no hesitation about that, but with a different choice of room and probably not on a weekend.

Room tip: choose a room away from the swimming pool esp. on weekends

Staying in for 6D5N was an amazing journey for us. Every morning we enjoyed our breakfast in Zest Restaurant as early as 5 am with special arrangement from the hotel due to program commitment. Even though it was too early, the restaurant managed to give their very best service to us. The breakfast buffet was awesome good, variety of food cuisines and most importantly, the restaurant staffs especially Wasli (local but korean look guy), will greet us with most welcome smile.

Then, I tried to chill at Lush bar just near the hotel lobby, I love it! Personally, I like that kind of ambience, good 90's music and nice view with some privacy. During that time, I've approached by Mr. Gunalan the f&b manager which surprisingly we met before in Mulu Marriott. He is truly a good hotelier, very friendly to us.

For long stayed, I really recommended this hotel. After a long day outside for work, when return to hotel, the feeling was relax especially when our room just near the sea view. The housekeeping girls, keep up the good work can't really recalled their name just Lily and other girl forgot their name. Thank you for entertaining our request.

The newly refurbished wing of the Miri Marriot beckons for a family getaway!
My partner and I checked into the newer chalet for a night's stay to attend a close friend's wedding.
The most admirable thing walking into the Miri Marriot was the staff..super friendly, true to the unique culture of East Malaysians.
The room was spacious, cozy and had a very zen feel to it.
Travelling parents (esp those with very young children) should ask for and will surely enjoy checking into the Magnolia wing of the hotel as it is located right beside the beach, breakfast cafe and across the Sea Horse Kids Club.
As the cafe, club house and pool is all within sight, makes for a ideal venue for kids to have fun safely, under watchful eyes.
There is also a portion of the children's wading pool which is well-covered (shaded) with a wide tarp and surrounded by lounge chairs which makes the area very child and family-friendly.
Around 10 past in the morn, the pool staff blew up a huge inflatable castle-like float which was then cast into the centre of the pool!
Definitely good fun for the children!
Overall, a pleasant stay and will surely contemplate coming back here with the children in tow!
