One of the best spot for snorkeling on the peninsular Malaysia. Checked all the boxes; good location and service. We have been to Langkawi, Tioman, Redang, Rawa, Besar and by far Perhentian Tuna has the best and most access to snorkeling experience.
We arrived at the Besut jetty a day earlier, bought some drinks/snacks before boarding first boat. Arriving 1 hour before departure should suffice. Boat ride is another 50 mins to the island.
Resort has a dedicated jetty, beach, protected snorkeling space off limits to boats so you could just snorkel right of the beach, with some corals just few inches below the surface during low tides.
The room is clean, basic but practical. We took the full board package and highly recommend it. No TV, no wifi but not missed at all. Their staffs are great, we were greeted with smiles and excellent service before hitting the jetty and all the way back.
Food is great, service is quick and their pricing is probably equal to 4-5 star hotel in Kuala Lumpur. We did not venture out but plenty of nearby restaurants if you want change. We received best hospitality such that my only complaint is probably their water dispenser broke down so we had to buy mineral water bottles during our stay.
I highly recommend the full board package. We were never hungry, and very surprise the quality and variety of food served. Comes with good quality...One of the best spot for snorkeling on the peninsular Malaysia. Checked all the boxes; good location and service. I highly recommend the full board package. We were never hungry, and very surprise the quality and variety of food served. Comes with good quality snorkel, life jackets, snorkeling trip and tea at 4pm when kids are hungriest.
We will definitely go back.More
