I would like to highlight that during our dine in at the Barat we did actually come across a very rude waitress. The way she communicate regards on whether we have voucher or orders is very impolite as if we owe her something and the experience with her service just make us felt uneasy.

However, we would like to acknowledge the overall service which provide by others staffs in the Barat are pretty good, polite, well-manner, and friendly. Especially King the waiter who work in the restaurant he know how to response to problem, satisfy customer and ensure customer enjoy their meal there. He service is effective and efficient, we are pretty satisfy with his service. We will give him 5 for the rating.

Room
To prevent the hassle of moving we did not request for the change. I think I would like to raise these so the property can look into the issues and make improvement.
-The toilet ceiling was having water leaking
-Door was having issues to lock

Overall the stay is pretty good.

Overall i'm impress with The Barat Perhentian Resort, excellent service, clean room, good food. My family really enjoyed their time there, definitely will come back to Perhentian Island again.

Maybe the management can consider to add exhaust fan in the toilet, so we can hang & dried our swimming gear privately

First check in to the room with the door can’t lock. The maintenance guy reluctant to help us change the room and ask us to wait he will fix the door lock. I can’t wait cause I felt it is not safe for 2 girls staying in a room with the door can’t lock. Approached reception and request to change room. Finally after went through all the trouble manage to changed room.

If you have a neighbor staying with all the youngster you can’t sleep till midnight. The room does not have sound proof. Anything you said can be heard.

The room was not well maintained. The food others than seafood no vegetable. The lunch & dinner not much choice.

I rather pay more to stay at Tuna Bay compare to this resort. Not recommended to stay at this resort.

We are a families of 4 who landed in The Barat for a week of stay after the MCO in KL. Never regretted to stay here and we even extended our stayed. Reception ladies, ground staff and the boy who carry our luggage and he do the cleaning of leafs around the resort every morning are welcoming and staffs at restaurant are all doing they great job, although this resort doesn't have a nice beautiful beach right in front, but the activities provided are good enough to entertain the kids. The snorkeling trip that we joint to the turtle point and shark point is a must the uncle who drove us for the snorkeling trip are amazingly putting on maximun effort i can say. Thumbs up for him! He show passion in his job.Not to forget also that the Dive centre, my son got certified Padi Open Water with his best instructor George, very passionate and patience in guiding him to go through all the whole process without stress. We had mostly our meals at the resort the breakfast, ala-carte meals , BBQ are all nice and at reasonable priced. Their BBQ fish are just simply niceeee we had it for 2 conservative nights ☺️. If u have time i highly recommend the Jungle Trekking trail in Perhentian Besar simply amazing, u will stop to Teluk Kekek beach which is so beautiful and must go!. After all we continue our journey to Perhentian Kecil to another upscale resort and we still feel The Barat is better, Perhentian Besar is way more calm to stay at. Overall our family had a really wonderful holiday and stay at The Barat. Will highly recommend this resort and will definitely be back

Stayed in standard double garden chalet. Extremely clean. Pure white bed linen. Small but perfectly adequate for our 3 night stay. Great location on the waters edge. Lovely views from dining area. Easy location for travelling to other beaches and great snorkeling around the bay. The food was absolutely fantastic and catered for every taste. The BBQ was fantastic value for money and everything on the menu was reasonably priced to say we were on the island. We booked the ferry directly with The Barat and it stopped on their own jetty, so easy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it and would definitely stay there again.
