Great hostel inside the old town/ medina. Comfy beds, clean, great location and staff members Richard and Kate were very helpful giving me pointers on where to eat and where to find the CTM ticketing booth etc. The hostel has a beautiful rooftop terrace with 360-degree views of Chafchaouen; the call to prayer at sunset sounded incredible whilst sitting up there. (Complete surround sound.) There is also a proper clothesline available if you need to do a lot of washing (something I noticed other Moroccan hostels lacked) & they also provide you with a lock for the locker in your room (large enough for valuables only, a laptop would not fit inside). Loved the tiny hostel turtle living in a pot plant on the terrace. I would stay here again!

Room Tip: Room number 1 is an 8-bed dorm right off the lounge area. I didn't stay in this room, however, I...

One of the best hostels I have stayed at in all my years of travelling!! I came for 4 days and ended up staying 3 weeks. The traditionally decorated Riad located in a very central part of Chefchaouen is clean with extremely comfortable beds, and has a great rooftop terrace to chill out on, meet new people and take in the amazing view of the city and surrounding Rif Mountains. Anne, the owner and all the staff are super friendly and helpful, always willing to help out with useful tips on what to see and do in the area, where to eat and how to get to your next destination. This place has a great vibe and attracts so many awesome travellers. Staying here felt like staying with family. I highly recommend Riad Baraka to anyone visiting Chefchaouen. It won’t disappoint!!

This hostel is hands down the best place to stay in chefchaouen, it's clean, pretty and the atmosphere is excellent. Full of awesome travellers. The local staff are so friendly and will go out of their way to help you with anything.
The owner Anne is a Real treat! The only place to get the British hospitality outside of Barthelona!
Please go to this hostel and experience it yourself !
Humdoola!

To echo all other reviews, a really lovely place to have stayed for a few nights. Ann is a savvy business woman and it shows with everything having a price but thankfully those prices are still reasonable for the average backpacker/flashpacker. A lack of toilets and temperamental showers and wifi and a paid for breakfast stop me giving this an 'excellent' rating. Mo was fantastic! I hope he is being paid well for his great services...
