The hotel was booked by my counterpart so I did not chose this hotel. First I was assigned to a different building, and had no hot water, no wifi access. The porter was trying to resolve problems, but only thing he could do was to provide a bucket of hot water.. I asked to change the room but no room was satisfactory (either no wifi, dirty or AC was very loud). Front office people were rude and not helpful (only porters are nice). This was catered for Nigerian male business men, not for female sole traveler. I did not feel safe there (elevator was dangerous, so don't use !) So my conclusion is "avoid" unfortunately.

The ambience of the Chinese Restaurant is fairly good. The staff were polite and rendered good service even though they were poorly dressed- need to update the uniforms. The food served was healthy and good

This hotel was recommended at the last minute. The long, dark corridors and broken down lifts were a tell-tale sign but nothing prepared me for the room. Grotty, very old, discoloured towels, beddings, carpets- everything. With a few exceptions staff are rude and don't care. Don't go there.

Check Independence room 211. The cooling system is noisy without a cooling effect, the television set shows a blurry picture @ 21st century. The sink drainage continues to leak with a noisy sound all night long and a lousy excuse that the early morning newspaper wasn't available because the publishers machine broke down!!!

Room Tip: Travelers should ask about the room condition without a leaking drainage system, functional A.C., and television with good viewing picture.

Between 11th and 16th of May 2015 I stayed at Lagos Airport Hotel Ikeja. For a hotel as old as Nigeria's independence, it is comforting to see the immense renovation and transformation it has undergone.the rooms are spacious, staff extremely courteous and ever willing to help guests. The complimentary breakfast is unique, combining continental with traditional Nigerian cuisines. The location, just a ten minutes to both the local and international airports makes it a destination hotel for me.The icing on the cake is the Chinese restaurant .
Above all the security is superb. I will always stay here and has no hesitation recommending it to my friends.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the ever busy Ikeja streets.
