This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been to. Although it is not a new one but the rooms are very clean and the location of the hotel is amazing to enjoy the mother nature, go for an elephant ride or just chill !!! It is far from the airport but in Sri Lanka you don't get bored while in the car because all what you see is green. This hotel has very nice restaurants, for breakfast and dinner we would go for the fantastic buffet it is so delicious, cheap and have variety of food from different cuisines. We didn't have the chance with my friends to enjoy the spa but the swimming pool, facilities and surroundings were just amazing. The view from the bathroom was directly facing the forest, I can't explain more.

The only downside (was not a big issue with me) is that you might find instincts, bugs outside your room or maybe very few inside the rooms, this is because of the location, the hotel is like built within a mountain or something like that

Room Tip: rooms facing the lake are great

This is an amazing hotel located on a forest reserve. Once you go to the hotel, you will feel very close to nature.
This is a very romantic hotel which can offer you plenty of romance, privacy and amazing view of the nature. The hotel rooms are very luxurious and have all the modern amenities.
This hotel is located at a remote location away from all the hustle and bustle of the modern cities. Best place to relax and unwind from the city life.

The hotel guests have plenty of things to do such as nature walks, swim or just sit down and relax.

This hotel provides a number of pools to swim in. It has multiple pools with amazing views of the sunset and nature. They are very large pools with water just right for swimming.

The hotel offers some of the amazing views and an amazing place to sit down and watch the sunset and enjoy mother nature.

The restaurant offers a wide selection of food, both Sri Lankan and Western. When you go to a meal, you will be tempted to try out everything they offer, but you will not be able to as the selection is huge.. You are guaranteed to be stuffed once you finish your meal.

This hotel also provides you with good customer service and they really take care their guests.

We do not know if it offers Wi Fi or not as we went there to relax and to get away from work. I took my laptop thinking that i would catch up on some work. But once we got there, i did not feel like doing any work as this hotel is very relaxing.

This was the second time we stayed at the hotel after our honeymoon. It still offers an amazing environment to relax and unwind.

Anyone who stays at this hotel once will definitely comeback again and again..

I can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and anyone who stays in this hotel will tell you the same.

Firstly, let's get one thing straight... This hotel has an outstanding setting, the facilities are wonderful and the service is impeccable.

However, and has been stated by others, the rooms in this hotel are tired and are in need of modernisation. Our first room had stains in the toilets and on the curtains so we asked to move to another room. The new room's air conditioning broke down at 2.30am so we were forced to contact maintenance and this was resolved within an hour but obviously disrupted sleep. We were assured that this would be investigated the following day to prevent a recurrence, however it broke down again the following afternoon. The management offered to put us in the suite to ensure it wouldn't break down again in the middle of the night but it was obviously very inconvenient. Furthermore, the cold water didn't work in our room and we were forced to contact maintenance for this as well.

The food in the hotel also needs modernising - huge buffets of food are no longer fashionable - a few menu options would be much better. We ate in the a la carte restaurant on one night, the rice and curry had come from the buffet downstairs and was not made fresh. We opted to eat in the poolside bar for the remainder of our stay to avoid returning to this.

Overall, this is a lovely hotel, with a few changes, it could be returned to an excellent hotel.

Wonderful experience!
The location, the staff, the food, the rooms - everything was excellent and truly a rich experience in a beautiful country.
Only negative remark: I wish they would stop offering the elephant tour just near the hotel and let animal go back into nature, where it should live in peace.
