We stayed there for 2 nights and I will start with the positives; property is really beautiful. The beach is touching the property and in the sea there are turtles which come to shore which is super nice! The pool is lovely. The food was amazing especially the breakfast. The negatives; In the room there were minor issues like the door handle to the balcony was falling off and there were chances of getting stuck. There was a nice man who allocated our room when we came in however as it was not ready we said we would have lunch and come back. When we returned he was not there and a lady completed our checkin and gave us a different room completely where some of our view was obstructed by a tree so we called the reception and informed her we were allocated another room luckily we remembered the number and she said it was gone. Since we were adamant to get a good view from our room we went down and we saw that other room key still lying there and pointed it out to her which then she had no choice in the end but to give it. This behavior of that lady was the main reason which I would say made me rank this as 4 star only as for me customer service is important and especially since she lied it annoyed me more.

Stayed 2 weeks. Arrived to room not being ready so we're allowed to use the bar. Went to restaurant and received a little bit off attitude once we told them we didn't have a room number as our room wasn't ready but they allowed us to eat.
All inclusive drinks not great...i think I only had 1 alcoholic drink in the whole 2 weeks. Food got repetitive... chicken on the bone but marinated different each day... grilled fish all looked the same but one day said "grilled fish" next "grilled tuna" next "grilled marlin"... .. Currys as expected but again repetitive...never did chips...so got sick of the same stuff each day. ... at the other bar you could pick off a set menu which did paninis(which was a wrap)..with chips so we got that a couple times....... walked outside the hotel and to the right we found Sam's bar which was English and I managed to get a bottle of cider....also a very good burger....
My husband burnt badly on first day to the point he couldn't walk...room bound for about 3 days... one day we shared a tube of Pringles and a packet of haribo that I brought ... I tried getting food from restaurant for him but was told it would have to be done via room service at a charge...i wasn't allowed to plate anything up for him and take it upstairs myself in case "he got Ill off it"...so we both starved that day.
Booked 2 trips and managed to rearrange them for when hubby could walk. Did a river boat cruise which took us to cinammon island..a temple..and a turtle sanctuary...which was awesome...only us 2 on the boat. Also visited the national park where we saw elephants buffalos deer etc...again just me and hubby in a keep to ourselves for a good few hours. Then we visited the elephant sanctuary and saw the baby elephants get fed
Back to hotel...bot a lot of entertainment on a night so not a lot to do... we basically had food ..grabbed a couple drinks from bar and went back to room and watched a film.
Must mention the pool guy...he saw hubbys burnt and cut some fresh aloe Vera and gave us it...did the world of good.. we tipped him the day we left as a thanks for that
Staff all friendly and remembered your room numbers-everytime you get a drink you have to give your room number and sign for it .
We visited the crab and steak house...you get 15%discount and all inclusive drinks.... we ordered 2 steaks medium and got one well done and one rare....
Desserts at the buffet were the best...different each day and lovely...thibk we ate more dessert than main meals.
There were turtles on the beach every day that you can freely go look at..feed seaweed and touch ...
Loads of chipmunks run around the pool area...friendly little things....
Balcony has a comfortable couch like seating area as well as table and chairs....
Only main negative was that all inclusive finishes at 12...check out is 12...abd we didn't get picked up til 4.30...which meant no food or drink..even water after 12... then a 2 and half hour ride to airport....luckily you get 2 bottles of water in your room each day so we kept a few of them...

Lovely hotel with a great atmosphere. In the center of hikkawadu surrounded by some great restaurants. We saw turtles everyday come up to the beach and be fed by guests. Many people tried to touch the turtles and while there was 1 local who told people off, some signs saying don’t touch the turtles would be a good idea.
The rooms were spacious with a great little balcony that we enjoyed sitting at watching the ocean when it wasn’t raining. We were unfortunate to have the 2 days we stayed raining with spots of sunshine, having said this the rooms, and tv channels got us through not being able to sit in the sun comfortably. The bed was super comfy, bathroom had a lovely rain shower. The breakfast buffet was good, the food wasn’t always warm but it was sufficient. On our first night we were given a lovely fruit platter and a phone call asking if everything was alright which was a lovely touch and made us feel like we were really being taken care of.
Overall despite the weather we really enjoyed our stay here. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to enjoy some pool time and ocean fun.

Stopped off here for a drink with a friend during our walk along the beach. We ordered two drinks at the pool bar. One of our drinks was sat at the bar for a long time before being brought over in a semi warm state.

My friend ordered an iced coffee, which was made with filer coffee and didn't have the coconut milk that she requested. She returned to the bar and explained that it wasn't what she expected. She then had to talk the barman through how to make an iced coffee (!!!), by which point they had gone to get fresh coffee, yet it was still below par.

We intended on having lunch at the hotel and were told that we must purchase a pool ticket if we would like to use the facilities. This was extremely disappointing, as we have never encountered this during our trip in Sri Lanka.

We left soon after and were very disappointed with the experience and the slow and sloppy service, especially considering that this is supposed to be a premium hotel.

We had first ever out station annual scientific sessions with over 175 participants from all corners of the country and with international delegates. The service was wonderful since reservations were made. Very courteous and friendly service offered. The delegates gave us excellent feedback on room conditions, food and service. It was a challenge and we had some reservations on how this is going to be successful but at the end all including representatives of sponsors stressed it as the best in every aspect compared their experiences !! Thank you very much for everything.

Room Tip: excellent atmosphere at buffet - Tranzfusion
