Perfect place to stay. Beautiful views and amazing staff. 100% recommended! We spent 2 nights and they help us with everything. Food is also very good and even better at terrace :-)
Definitely very good to stay if you are visiting lion rock!

My wife and I stayed for just one night on 04.09.17. We had a ground floor room with terrace and 2 double beds. Fans and mozquito nets. Rooms were good and clean. Breakfast was nice up on the balcony restaurant. The owner Chandy is a lovely fella. Really helpful and genuine. He buzzes about in his own tuk tuk. He arranged a tuk tuk for us when we checked out so we didnt get ripped off that took us from Lakmini to Dambula Caves where the driver waited for us then took us to Dambula bus station so we could catch a bus to Kandy. All for 1500 rupees (£7.50)
We would recommend anyone stay here.

Very friend and reasonably priced lodge. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka thus far. The hotel lies 50 meters from the main street and is thus quiet. Sigiriya is reachable by foot in about 20 minutes.

Me & My partner arrived stayed at Lakmini Lodge recently in May 2016. The standard of the rooms is exceptional, huge spacious and comfortable double bed rooms with aircon, fans, and lovely huge shower heads (with hot water). There is even a balcony attached to most rooms with stunning views of Sigirya itself and over rice paddy fields where wildlife can be seen including peacocks. However, if that fails, a short journey up the stairs to the rooftop provides the goods with regards to views over rice paddy fields to Sigirya (especially at sunset & sunrise).

When we arrived there was a thunder & lightnig storm that had damaged the powerlines, so our lights and aircon weren't working properly, we were told to wait a while as the local technicians were fixing it. Some time had passed and nothing improved, however before we needed to go to the staff to let them know, the staff arrived at our door and moved us to a new room. Which, we felt should an exceptional level of care for their guests.

The owner of Lakmini, Chandy, was an absolute gentlemen. He owned a Tuktuk and a small shop where water and snacks could be bought very close to the lodge. Sometimes, he would even give free lifts in his tuktuk. Chandy helped us greatly with our trip to Sigirya, wildlife safari in Minneriya National Park, and also leaving Sigirya.

We had a complicated journey after Sigirya to Giritale, that required a public bus and a tuktuk in the evening. He provided us with a note in Sinhala to give to the bus driver to ensure the bus knew where to drop us off.

We had a great time and experience staying with Chandy at Lakmini Lodge, and without doubt this was one of our best accomodation experiences in Sri Lanka and genuinely kind host.

Highly recommend!

Lakmini Lodge is definitely the best guesthouse we experiment during our trip all around Sri Lanka.
Rooms are modern and clean, the view on the rock is perfect, and the sunset on the rooftop is incredible. Breakfast in a little caban in front of the rock.
The owner is so kind and helpfull : thanks so much for the journey in your tuktuk until the entrance of the site.
Conclusion : no hesitation this guesthouse is perfect to visit Sigiriya.
