We staid 2 nights in this hotel.
It's a great location to visit Sigiriya rock and Elephant safari. Very quiet also. I tested the massage which was really good (atmosphere could be improve though).
Great pool. Food was good, service good as well. Very big rooms as well for our family.
I recommend and I would go back.

what i liked about the hotel:
1) the pool
2) breakfast
3) front desk staff

what i did not like
1) the location : " although there is no much stuff to do in sigiriya anyways
2) room service staff: they just do whatever you asked for but then just stands there waiting for you to Tip them.
3) room is average. The Safe inside rooms not always working (at least in my case it was not) and room had wet floor when i checked in
4) A/C can get noisy
.
all in all a hotel with a tripadvisor reward should have rooms and service better than this

Dear Guest,

Thank you for leaving us a review about your recent stay with us.

I’m pleased to know that you enjoyed the setting of the pool and the Breakfast Buffet each morning.

I’m sorry to know that you felt the location did not have much to offer you. However Sigiriya is crowned for its fame by the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, which I hope you visited during your stay with us. Other patrons who visit us set off on Safaries to the Minneriya/ Kaudulla National Parks, Tours to the Dambulla Rock Temple or even Jungle trekking and Village walks.

We also have an Ayurvedic Spa on site for any guests who may like to experience an Ayurvedic massage during their stay with us.

Please accept my apologies for the negative encounters you experienced during your stay at our hotel.

I sincerely hope that you would give us another opportunity to welcome you back to our hotel in the near future.

Yours sincerely,
Laksitha Wegodapola

lovely hotel which is well situated to for the impressive Lion Rock. having said that you still need a tutut to get you to the main entrance which is about £1.50. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The restaurant which is buffet style is excellent. Alcohol is a little pricey but since this is a four star I guess goes with the territory. The pool is great for a chill out after the climb to the top of the Sigirya Rock. Watch out for the bees up there. Great views to be had. The only negative I would say was the large amounts of tour buses that turn up with guests for one night. Buses warming up outside your room is not ideal.

Room Tip: Free Wifi available in the main lobby

We enjoyed a 3 night stay here. It had the atmosphere of a 'safari lodge' lodge. The swimming pool is very inviting but it's also great just to enjoy a drink at the bar and sit on the verandah looking toward the magnificent hill palace of Sigiriya.
The staff throughout the hotel were very attentive.
The dining room was pleasant and had local musicians playing traditional ( and a few tunes of the tourists own music too!) as a pleasant to accompany dinner.
We had the buffet selection for dinner and breakfast and these offered a good range of food for all tastes.
There is a small but adequate menu for lunch and the pasta was well cooked.

We stayed here for 3 nights over the New Years holiday. I chose the hotel based on the location and the view and it did not disappoint! The room was decent, the bathroom nicer than average in Sri Lanka. We had some difficulty with the AC but it was easily resolved. The buffet is extensive and the food overall was good. There did seem to be a number of tour groups in the hotel, which is not usually the type of place I choose to stay, but they were mainly unobtrusive. I realize that many hotels throughout the world have a surcharge for holiday festivities but $75 US per person for New Year's Eve seemed high especially since it did not include drinks, although dinner was very good. We had very good service during our time there, eating both the morning and evening meals there each day. We also had a treatment in the spa which was also very good.
