Hotel nice and quiet ... inconveniences that does not have elevator and the wifi works one day if and two days no ... to get to the village there is to call a taxi ... I recommend the excursions to sneaker island

Spend 14 nights at Playa Tortuga. It was amazing. Staff was extremely helpful whenever there was an issue (Only 2 small issues the whole time). The maintenance team was constantly cleaning & painting to keep the place beautiful. The only downside was having to go into town to do a tour. The ladies up front were courteous & knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back! If I could rate this a 10 out of 10 I would!

Room Tip: Room 303 had the best view. Could see 70% of the property.

We ate here several times during our stay in the area with our two boys and always found the service to be friendly and attentive. There are a good variety of items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are many choices for kids and as a vegetarian I had several options on the main menu. They even have a separate vegetarian menu if you ask for it. It was great that the kids could take a dip in the multiple pools to stay cool while we waited for our food to come. The front desk was also helpful when we asked them to watch our bags during our meal.

A few significan details would make a big difference:
1st is staff training. Everyone is willing to help but they're not just trained on how to do it
Front desk, rest waiters, shuttle driver. Most don't speak English
2nd is basic decor. Like lighting, furniture, plants, fixtures, etc are old, dated, cheap looking. Get ferns, candlelights, area rugs, drapes, etc to make it place attractive
3rd , improve breakfast buffet, please, just improve existing quality of items and add a few more.

I can't believe that it happened, but at the end of the night the staff charged me for 9 drinks while we only had 6. Furthermore the hotel does not have an elevator (nice for when you have suitcases and nobody to help) and the hotel is far away from town where all the nice restaurants are and the tours. The hotel does have nice views yes and the showers and beds are good. But the fact that the staff is very unfriendly nullified this plus point.
