I had high hopes from this place as it's supposed to be one of Delhi's best rooftop restaurants with a great view of the city. However, my experience did not live up to expectations.
Firstly, there was no view as such as they had covered the grills all around, probably because it was winter. Therefore, you could not see much unless you went over to the side. No view from the table. Secondly, we had booked the restaurant under a GIRF deal, which entitled us to 50% off alcohol. Disappointing then, to be presented with the drinks menu only to be told the offer was not valid on those and then much later they furnished a one-page menu with very limited selections. No cocktails. I told them why we had selected them in the first place and after talking to their manager and a lot of persuasion, he agreed to give me a sangria. The food didn't seem fresh and we weren't able to finish the dish. We left earlier than planned and went somewhere else for dessert to offset this disappointing experience.
I would not recommend this restaurant. They need to train their staff on the basics such as providing the correct menu and knowledge of ongoing deals before they enroll for promotions. Also, the quality of food needs a lot of improvement.

Ansal Plaza, Khelgaon Marg - the first ever mall of Delhi was established way back in the year 1999 (to think of it, the mall is older than many of us on this site) ;) :D and was hugely famous for its circular shape and was one of the most frequented place by Delhites to chill. So much so that at one time they had to implement a 100 Rs. Entry fee to weed out those who just used to crowd the place and not shop or dine or anything else. Recently it got relaunched to earn back its name and fame which it had lost over time after the outburst of malls in every nook and corner of Delhi around a decade back. But now it has come up with some basic renovations and opening up of multiple night clubs like The Arena and Taksim and Food and booze bosses like The Sky High and Kofuku to regain its title of numero uno mall of Delhi. The place is trying everything it can to be it a hit again and the food truck festival organized here last month was a testament of that.

We decided to go and checkout for ourself their efforts to revamp our once favourite hangout destination last Sunday afternoon and after having a look around at all the available options, the place that caught our attention the most was their rooftop cafe - The Sky High. The Sky High has done full justice to its name as it has one of the largest terrace and provides for a complete 360 degree view of the surroundings. Although the place has an inner section as well having big sofas, tables, big screens for live streaming and a bar right in the center with dim/dark lighting but the open terrace has a charm that no one can resist. Having a seating capacity of about a hundred people at a time the place has enough sprinklers all over to make you feel cool and relaxed even in one of the hottest days of Delhi Ki Garmi :D The way to the terrace has been done beautifully as well with white painted walls and artwork done on them.

Coming to the food and drinks, we had some cocktails that included the likes of whiskey sour, cosmopolitan, beer blaster, tequila sunrise along with some munchies like birds nest, texas fries and sky high club sandwich. The Birds nest was a dish having puchkas filled with pineapple and sweet potato salsa and was presented on a bed of fried noodles to complete the look and shape of a birds nest. Sky High Club sandwich had cheese, lettuce, grilled paneer and tomatoes in it and was served with french fries and dip was something you will surely like to have. The food and the ambiance really sets up the mood and kept us going for more and the second order was placed for the crispy chilli mushrooms and akhrot aur sabz ki seekh. While the mushrooms did full justice to its name by keeping the crispy and chilli factor intact, the sabz seekh was served with naan, onion and chutney and was really good.

Done with the starters and drinks we moved on the main course and decided to keep it to the basics by ordering Dal Makhni, Baingan aur Mirchi ka Salan and Lucknawi Dum Biryani. If you have mastered these basic dishes then there is no stopping any restaurant and the same can be said for them as both the Dal Makhni and Salan were made to perfection and the Lucknawi biryani was a sheer delight to have.

All in all if you are looking for a place to rejoice yourself with some mouth watering food and eye soothing ambiance in the Khel Gaon Marg area then just aim towards the sky and get high at the sky high ;)

The ambience of this restaurant on the terrace of ansal plaza is very nice. With live music its a good place to hang out with friends. We ordered indiana & chimmi churi pizzas, spaghetti with meatballs along with beer and mocktails. The pizzas were good, though we found the spaghetti a little bland. the mocktails were good. Some were a bit spicy though like the guava delight (the name doesn't suggest that it will be spicy)

Overall a good place for an evening dinner out with friends.

The place is set in Ansal Plaza and some of the best views in the city. The food is good too and so is the live bar over the weekends. Definitely one must stop here if they have an evening to spare and enjoy with friends/family.
