Shanti home is surly a boutique style hotel with a home touch with all the advantages it come with.
Spcial Hotel The rooms are furnished with a lot of touch and soul .very clean and spacy
Excellent bathroom air-conditioning
The people at Shanti are super friendly and helpful and give you the most you can expect from a host,
The restaurant is very good.
came to this hotel after 3 nights in the ITC Maurya which is a super 5 star hotel and I still prefer the shanti home by far as I really felt in shanti home as I am in a real India for the good things India can offer.

Room Tip: not all te rooms are the same.

this hotel is a small boutique style establishment.
The rooms are modest but well appointed, clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom and a excellent airconditioner.
The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly and make you feel like the most important guest they have. They arranged my pick-up and drop offs at the airport ,sightseeing trips and shopping experiences perfectly.
The restaurant offers a good selection of authentic local and western cuisine and once again are most obliging.
You are a little far from the city but they can arrange any trip or form of transport you need without any fuss.Single or female travellers can feel safe in their hands.
Wi-fi is free and a computer is availble for you to keep in contact.
You are in India so do not expect Sheraton or Hilton and you will not be dissapointed
I will definitely stay here everytime I am in Delhi.

Room Tip: take a stroll around the local evening market nearby or a rickshaw ride to the local mall.(not much to buy but a worthwhile experience)

The major problem with this hotel is the location. There is nothing good about it. It is in a residential area near a busy road far from the city. Sure it is close to the metro but that can be an ordeal in itself because the metro is completely overcrowded (I know that it is India). Its ok for a male but a female may not enjoy the trip. The walk to the Metro from Shanti home can also be horrific. This hotel is overpriced in my opinion for what is offered. It is suitable for a transit trip only. The hotel is only average with limited amenities (no tv etc). The restaurant is on the roof with no aircon so it is unbearable in summer months. The staff are certainly friendly and knowledgeable. Security seems good although safety deposit boxes are portable. There are pigeons nesting outside the bathroom. They were quiet when I had to use the fan. Rooms are adequate but do get traffic noise.

Room Tip: Don't get the rooms on the side of the busy road. The quiet side is bad enough.

We wanted to have a more luxurious hotel the last day in India, and chose Shanti Home based on tripadvisor recommendations. We were not disappointed.

The room (Bollywood) was nice, with modern furniture and Bollywood film effects. Great big bathroom with a tub, but alas - no hot water, just lukewarm.

The hotel have a roof-top restaurant, very romantic and quite good food.

It might be a little difficult for taxi-drivers to find, be sure that you have the hotels phone number at hand so that they can explain location to driver.

The easiest way to get around is by taking the metro. The station is about five, ten minutes walk away, and one of the hotel staff showed us the way and helped us with the tickets the first day. With metro it is about 40mins to Connaught Place.

We had a late flight, and it was very practical to leave the luggage at the hotel all day, after check-out. The staff was perfectly friendly and service-minded.

As a single female traveller in my 20's, I was nervous about where I would stay. Shanti home was amazing! The food is great, the service is great. The manager even created a personalized sight seeing list as to optimize my time in Delhi. The rooms are gorgeous and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I hope to stay there again. :) thank you!
