We always had heard that Kufri was the main tourist spot among travelers visiting Shimla. But, there was nothing here when we had visited in April.
First of all, we reached the Kufri taxi stand. There we were told that the only way to go to the Kufri hill is by horse ride because the path is not good, etc etc. So, we got on the horse and started our 20 minutes journey up hill. Initially the path was a little dirty, after that, it was not that bad. The only issue was the dust in the air, even while riding the horse, we felt it. People were covering their mouth by the hand kerchief. By horse, it took about 20 minutes, and by walking it would take about 35-40 minutes. In summary, it is not that tough to climb the hill.
On the hill, the horses were standing in the parking area. There was a Telescope point, with a entry fees of Rs. 400. They showed us some peaks and some hotels around Shimla. it took about 15 minutes to cover this activity.
There were shops on the approach road, selling woolen clothes and eatables.
There was an Apple park, which is closed in Summers.
There were Yaks standing in the queue, a traveler could pay and get on the yak to capture their photographs with Yaks.
Apart from these, there was nothing interesting here. We were told that during the winters, the path of the hill is covered with Snow, during that time, a horse ride is mandatory. And even the other attractions opened in Winters.
