You want to find out what Ayurvedic is and if you like it than choose this place. It is about 1,5 hour drive from Mumbai airport (arrange a driver with Ayurvedic Village). Already the way is very interesting with many unique indian images and sometimes you will think that the driver is lost. Don't worry the place is near to a mountain range, wonderful climate and settled in the green.
An Ayurvedic doctor will talk with you and may suggest some additional or other treatment than booked. Be open, they have a lot of experience.
Start to relax. Nice rooms with balcony, very tasty ayurvedic food and many people who will give there best for you to feel comfortable. The doctors and manager speak a very good english and everybody in the hotel will give you big smiles which touch your heart.
Try a yoga session in the morning. The manager will arrange accordingly. Enjoy the treatments and be assured that your batteries will be recharged a litte bit - even after a short stay. Having 3 full days (4nights) will give you a nice starter package.
This place is not only special for their treatments but for the people you will meet. Don't hesitate to get in contact with them - they will make your stay even more special!

Room Tip: The higher the category of the rooms the larger the rooms will be. Some of the rooms have A/C but most have fans on the ceiling.

I have been to this place in late June to opt for massage therapy for cervical spondylosis.

on the positive side :
* Doctor Tulsidas, the masseurs, the hotel staff are really professional and hospitable
* Property is really nice and definitely eco friendly premises
* Therapy was good. Stay was excellent
* Food is purely veg (I am absolutely fine being a vegetarian)

on the improvement side :
* Food can be multi-cousin (though veg) instead of restricting the choice to a region (if they really want to reach out to all facet of people)
* Property is yet to complete so this may inconvenience some
* a good nice instrumental music in common area like dining, meditation centre can really helps
* a pricey proposition.

Room Tip: Deluxe room with A/C and TV if you are travelling sole or couple.

Dr. Shiju is really good and guide the patients accordingly and make sure the pain is subsidize and you feel great. The best part of Dr. Shiju is he keeps a good follow up of the patients.

The environment and surrounding is too good, you feel like being in KERLA.

People around are nice

Worth taking the treatment

feeling better and fine..

God bless the entire team of AYURVEDIC VILLAGE.

Excellent location and services. Ayurvedic Doctors were patient and logical in approach. Massages were simply great, helped reduce my neck pain, my wife said her back pain was reduced significantly. One massage and steam was complementary with the room.

The new complex where we got the rooms is architecturally very nice. It has a very well maintained small pool that we used. The complex is still under construction and we wish they do not create more structures than they already have. With tranquil hill view from two-three sides, the upper floor room would boast great views when ready.

Food is included, vegetarian and mostly fixed menu. Dosas at breakfast were fine, lunch and dinner we found little on 'hot' side. Staff were generous to supply some home made curd on demand, 'to douse the fire.'

Place has a electricity problem due to which ACs in our spacious room was switching off/ on/ between modes all the time. However with two fans added, was not a major issue. Bathroom was nice and spacious. Nice wooden bed had mattress that was soft and inviting, though a little creaky.

Mobile connectivity is available but not at all strong. We struggled to get in touch with the place when we wanted to re-confirm our room/ treatment over phone a day before.

In all, recommend this place for those looking for a less than ultra-luxe ayurvedic spa holiday in lap of nature. Monsoons should be the best time. We plan to return once the rains start.
