1]the good-one of the most breathtaking views that you are likely to get within a 15 km radius just outside mumbai.its from the studio apartments at utan sea resort!fantastic food, lovely service, well maintained pool with an amazing view to the sea. i have been a regular for about a year, and i love the fact that in less than an hour from my place,i can get my "fix" without having to go to goa or even lonavala.the staff is extremely welcoming and friendly.i think saddam, alocious, sunil, shivam at the reception,,and the wonderful rambo at room service are an asset to this place.
2]the not so good-i am told that the management has recently changed.so the first thing they've done is they've hiked the room rates by a thousand bucks overall.not required i believe because they make a lot of money on their food and beverage sale.(the food is great but is anything but cheap)you end up paying at least 10,000 bucks if you're a family of 3 and order lunch and dinner (no alcohol)plus the vat,svc tax, etc.so we regulars took solace in the fact that at least the rooms were reasonably priced.not any more,i guess!also now, post 11.30 in the evening, there is no service available.(i mean even house keeping!)best of luck if you need to order water at 2am!this is a very disappointing change.cost cutting im told, what else?(!!)i need to reach out to the management through this review….you had a great thing going, pls dont spoil it by getting so blatantly "commercial".i know you're running a business but you need to strike a balance somewhere.

Room Tip: studio rooms have great view

Awesome place nice food. Great location.
Spent a day for family outing. They also have villas to stay and great rooms. Less crowd made it easy as the pool was for us. Hey charge nominal rates who all enter in the pool on per person basis.

We came across this place as we were looking for a place which is within driving distance from mumbai and allows swimming pool access to visitors.

It was about 1.5 hrs from mumbai and the first experience as soon as you come out of the car is bad due to the fish smell. But hold on as the nose gets used to it in 10mins and you won't feel it anymore.

As I said the place allows swimming pool access to visitors and that's the highlight. Pool is decent , neat and clean and not very crowded . It has done basic charge of about 250 rs for access. You can also choose to eat besides the pool .

Food is pretty good and service is nice too. The place has some hammocks and some more fun stuff for kids.

If you go there do stay for sunset as the view from the property is awesome.

We didn't stay there but rooms looked ok.

Decent place for half a day get away from mumbai !!!!

We went to stay for the Holi weekend in March 2017. Firstly the positives - Great location, nice breeze blowing throughout the resort, nice views, nice pool area, hammocks and we were lucky enough to encounter a bandcamp organized by White Collar Hippies. We went to the bandsite around 9 pm and we were there till 12.30 - 1 am. This was one of the most beautiful things you will ever see. Really good lighting, a kickass band playing great music, a magical night.
The negatives : - A pricey restaurant (for the location), pathetic room service, and really bad rooms. One of the worst rooms you will ever see with bad furniture. I would rather sleep in the camps outside rather than the rooms. You guys really need to work on this.

Room Tip: Ask them for the villas rather than the other rooms, else no point staying there
