The rooms are in desperate need for a make-over. The bathrooms are in terrible condition - fittings broken, mirrors blackened. The wooden flooring in the rooms has given away at many places and for most part is uneven and creaking. The TVs are old and the DTH set top box is so conspicuously placed below it that you have to make great effort to change channels. Special mention needs to be made for the extremely poorly trained staff at the front desk - they will go out of their way to make you feel unwelcome and the hotel inhospitable. We had a very bad experience and had to really insist for the duty manager to make himself available to dispute a charge. HOWEVER, the saving grace is the food. The restaurants serve delicious food (do not take the buffet lunch/dinner but a la carte) and the breakfast spread is also quite good. Though the hotel was sold out during our visit, they had enough staff to accommodate our requests as we had 6 children in our group. The pool is very big, the pool bar is good and weather permitting, the time in the ppol can be refreshing. Do not venture on the beach outside the hotel - go to the nearby Aksa beach instead.
