I stayed here for 2 nights while on a business trip to Chennai. Had booked last minute and needed a budget hotel in the area around Chennai Central station so wasn't left with too many options. The hotel is very average. They gave me a room with a single bed and the bed was really tiny. The room itself wasn't well lit and looked shabby. There was a weird smell in the tap water - I have also read other reviewers complaining about this so seems to be a permanent problem. The breakfast was good and the location was convenient for me - those are really the two good things. Wouldn't recommend staying if there's another option.

Hotel is just walking distance and near chennai central.Hotel has his own restaurant inside and walk in.
Hotel has 3 types of rooms. Standard and Executive rooms they provide only ro water and news paper while in superior room bislary water and breakfast complimentary. Hotel is airconditioned. Every room has compliment WiFi. Bathroom has shampoo and shower dispenser with handwash dispenser so no soap required. Hospitality is really enjoyable. One drawback is that hotel has slight sound of train from adjoining railway line.

There's a nice finishing to the room. Train is heard when it passes. Found one cockroach in my room.
Staff doesn't speak English very well. Walls are a bit dirty. WiFi reception is good, and the restaurant attached to the hotel is fair.

Just a few minutes from chennai central to the hotel isn't going to be as easy as it sounds! A lot of construction work is going in and around the station. Walking to the hotel from station through the busy poonnamali road is a arduous dangerous task. Take an auto instead. The hotel itself is a nice one. The facade is impressive with its signature red hue. There's a small lobby to wait. Rooms are neatly done and clean. Moreover it feels large enough. One cannot escape the 'used' look of items eg the stationaries or the menu card! Room service was usually quick. I thoroughly missed a tea coffee maker in the room. Beds are either two single or king size. It's good to ask what type of beds are alloted for you.AC, TV and WiFi worked like a charm.Wifi password need to be renewed daily and it requires a phone call to reception. Washroom were definitely small but i got used to it. I was pleasently surprised by the high water pressure in the shower.Very nice shower after a hard days work. Some more essential toiletries like a shaving kit etc were missing. Being right next to the suburban train tracks , i could hear trains whistling by every now and then. But frankly it isn't much of a bother. All the rooms have writing desk and adequate space for luggage. I tried the ala carte menu in their restaurant which was really nice. We almost became a fan of that . Lots of eateries on the opposite side of the road but its real difficult to cross the road. Unfortunately not too many utility shops on hotel side of the road. One thing i did notice is their reservation policy is different for different booking platforms. For eg check in times are more relaxed if one books directly. Lots of travel shops in hotel side of the road so planning a tour won't be a hassle. I loved the hotel's vibrant look, the comfortable rooms and staff behaviour. The location is a bit awkward because of the road divider but still then easily accessible. At this price band the hotel is an attractive option.
