Excellent view and great food served by the host. They showered a warm welcome in traditional style by wrapping white clothes around your shoulders. You can see sunrise from balcony, surrounding is mesmerising. The best thing is the have fire place and that was enjoyable , though the entry is through very narrow roads and full of scenic beauty. Went there by Innova car and have parking space.

Heritage charm can be felt out and out. The bungalow, the iron fountains, the tea gardens seen from the lawn.... everything will take you to the Colonial era. And the 3 dogs are the added charms.
The warm welcome from the owner make you feel at home.
Missing everything about it!

It's about 1 and half hours journey from Darjeeling town. This place offers a serene landscape and a beautiful view of the forest around. U can visit a place called 'durpin dara' view point at teesta valley about 20 mins journey from this place. The owner of this place is fantastic. One can take a trip to tinchulley takdah from here. A must visit if u are planning to visit off beat location in Darjeeling.

We went to Takdah in the month of December 2015. It was towards the end. We reached Takdah on a sunny afternoon. The weather was perfect. The warmth given by the Sino Guest House people on that chilling afternoon was something we needed. We stayed there for 2 nights. Takdah does not offer a lot of sightseeing. On Sundays the village sleeps. But still its a quiet, peaceful place and Sino offers an eagle's eye view of the lush green landscape. The old British bunglow will take you back to their time on a misty evening. The drums, bells and chanting from the nearby monestry adds to the atmosphere. They have 2 lovely dogs who offer the same warmth as their owners. To conclude its a place where I would love to go back again on a sunny afternoon.
