This is a comfortable and well located hotel for visiting Melaka. Staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel clean and well presented. Breakfast was plentiful in choice but not targeting western tastes perhaps.
The river sits just alongside with a water taxi stand into the centre of town, and a short walk up river to the start point of the river tour boats. Walk to Jonker street is about 1.2km.
Our second time stay at this hotel within 3 months period, this property is charming and we had a comfortable stay in our two Junior suites. Friendly and accommodative staffs, spacious big room with a mini kitchenette, great fluffy pillow and and bed, we still had quality of sleep even though our room level is accessible to the pool with children running around happily. However, we wish to have more Tv channels instead of locals only and more variety of breakfast spread and add more desserts and local kuih rather than just fruits. Overall, we enjoy our stay and of course will return here again for our future stay
Junior suite is so comfy and clean. Toilet clean. Very nice view. Nice swimming pool. 2 minutes walk to LTP foodcourt. All staffs are friendly. Thank you very much sales team. Night view is beautiful especially alongside the river and you can see Molten village.

The Pines Melaka
The vicinity is just nice. Not too situated in high traffic yet not far from the city. The view from the 26th floor is lovely. Rooms are clean. Has a bathtub too.
The staff are friendly and professional.
The breakfast buffet is super good with ample varieties.
We had catered dinner there for 28 pax. Food was good and the servings were plenty. Pricing was super good too.
I have no complaints.
I will definately come back and I highly recommend The Pines for your next stay.

First I have to give credit to the location. River Melaka is right behind the hotel with a nice and clean board walk along the river. It is within walking distance to most popular places like China town, India town and the main square. However, it was so hot (31 degrees), I was not able to enjoy my walk. Had to take Grab everywhere we went.
The rest was not that great. There was not a concierge or bell boy to help with luggage upon check in/out. The hotel had seen better days! Everything was so dated. The room was large but bare, all furniture looked cheap. Flakes from the ceiling kept falling down on a daily basis, I guess it was from dry paint of some sort. And a musty smell from the room too. It was so bad but we only had 4 nights so I didn’t bother asking for another room, not really sure we would get a better one. I also found some clip on the face towel. Lucky I did not scratch my face with this towel.
Breakfast choices are limited, no pastries at all. Menus almost remained same every day.
