From the Battleship USS ALABAMA to the Submarine USS DRUM and over 25 aircraft, the spirit of military pride is alive and well.Aboard the battleship you will be able to explore 12 decks. Among those, you can climb inside gun turrets, get locked in the Brig, man a 12mm gun and much more. Also at the park, you will be able to go below and explore inside the oldest Submarine on display, Submarine USS DRUM. In the Medal of Honor Aircraft Pavilion as well as in the park, you will be able to view many rare and historic aircraft. This is an amazing piece of history. If you find yourself in Mobile, this is a must! The ship, the planes, everything here is really cool. You won't be disappointed.

What a great way to view history. This tour was self guided but well documented. The battleship alone took over three hours to view. If ya wanta do it all plan on a day. The boys absolutely loved being able to crawl inside the turret of the big 16 inch guns!

arrived at 1pm and by 3pm had only completed the blue route and the red route. We did not take the yellow tour but that is the tour that shows you the decks and guns of the ship. We went over to the Aircaft Museum and just walked through that. We were not able to get to the USS Drum Submarine as we had other time commitments. Allow yourself about 4 hours if you want to do all 3. Lots of walking, very few places to sit down. Wear comfortable shoes. Climbing up/down lots and lots of stairs.

This battleship, sub and the surrounding park have amazing pieces of US military history. The battleship and sub are well worth the admission fee. They have amazing tours mapped out and detailed plaques to give you a glimpse of what life would have been like aboard the battleship in WWII. The museum had some amazing airplanes including a Tuskegee airmen plane. As an added bonus we saw a Pearl Harbor survivor during our visit. In general ther were lots of military around- be sure to take the opportunity to thank them for their service- it means a lot to be acknowledged

One final note it is best to be in tennis shoes or closed heel shoes as you will be climbing lots of ships stairs

The self guided tours were laid out very well. You could get the feel of what it was like to serve on the ship and what war was like. Seeing the guns up close was amazing. The submarine was an extra bonus. Great value for what we paid.
