Great selection on the menu. Wish the employees were a bit friendlier to those of us that aren't from the area. But the food is great. Outdoor cafe area is very nice!

Their strawberry pretzel salad is delicious. Also the chicken salad is a great selection. Above all we enjoy their chocolate biscuit and gravy. Very pleasant and enjoyable

This café in the tiny town of Rogersville offers some of the best homemade bread & pastries anywhere. Just one block off US highway 72 between Huntsville and Florence, it is easy to get to. It is only open for breakfast and lunch. Sandwiches are served on thick sliced homemade breads baked fresh every day. They have two items on the list of "100 Things to Eat in Alabama Before You Die"--the chocolate gravy biscuit and the chicken salad. There is something for everyone to enjoy! The servers checked on us frequently, refilling our drinks and making sure we had everything we wanted. They have indoor and outdoor (street side) seating. We will return to Café Savanna whenever we are in the area.

We visited Café Savanna after reading about its history online when researching Rogersville for our weekend get-away. The food was exceptional and the people friendly. Intend to eat there again on our next visit to this interesting little town.

We came by here on a Sunday and this place was closed, so we decided to make the twenty mile trip back on Monday for lunch. I had a salad plate which included some of the best chicken salad I've ever had plus cornbread salad and broccoli salad. The cornbread was my least favorite but still ok. We ended the meal with a chocolate biscuit. It was probably delicious straight from the oven but had obviously been microwaved. The service was excellent and the place was just, for lack of a more fitting word, cute. I expected a ladies tea room kind of place but pleasantly surprised to see several men in camo and work boots, and they did not look out of place. The restrooms were very clean as was the rest of the place. There is a nice patio for warmer days. Many little shops on this Main Street make for a nice little visit.
