This hotel is situated in the Chuansha district of Shanghai. If you have an early morning flight out of Shanghai PuDong (or expecting to arrive very late at night). This hotel has all the modern amenities you would expect. The rooms are comfortable and staff are helpful. I would definitely recommend it for a short stopover before or after a flight.
Chuansha is still being developed, so can feel a bit isolated from the usual buzz of Shanghai. A new shopping mall is being constructed (which can be seen from the west facing side of the hotel). Chuansha station on Line 2 is roughly about 15 minutes walk from the hotel, or a 5 minute taxi ride.
I have stayed in both sides of this hotel before, although while all the rooms I have stayed in are comfortable, I would recommend staying on the western side of the building, so that you're facing the garden area with the large screen. The view is a little more open.
While the staff can arrange a taxi for you, the driver may charge a few RMB extra for the fact that it was called via phone. You may be unable to hail a taxi from the streets as the area can feel relatively quiet at times.
Consider this hotel 1-3 day airport stopovers only.More
