“Great Hotel in Pudong”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 March 2012

This is a true 5-star hotel in a fantastic location in Pudong. Great service, great views from the rooms, and a breakfast as good as any in China. Easy walk to metro, and to all you want to see in Pudong. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing views, in a great looking building. The Hotel is efficient, clean and luxurious but my only but is that it lacks real personality. So I leave with a sense of thanks for an efficient stay but not that memorable.

Wow, this is a classy hotel. I spent a weekend at the Grand Hyatt and was very impressed. My first surprise was being greeted and told to go the 54th floor for check in. The rooms start above the check in. The room was really so modern and spacious and a great view of Pudong. The staff were exellent, always greeting me with a smile and welcome. The bar and restaurants were also very good. The gym and swimming pool were also modern and very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel

Wonderful weekend stay with hubby and 2 kids age 6&8. Spa was a big hit with the kids from pool to tubs to sauna and well-appointed change area. Would have been nice if dad could join us in the spa but there is no communal one. Room very comfortable and kids enjoyed novelty of rollaway bed, kid size waffle bathrobes and complementary teddy bears. Room service was very efficient and overall staff were friendly, though could have done with more quality and less quantity but not bad by Chinese standards. Location excellent with shopping at IFC and Superbrand Mall at doorstep. Hotel is in my favorite shanghai skyscraper the Jin Mao building - only downside is that you cannot see it because you are in it!

Stayed at the Grand Hyatt for 5 days last week (Business Trip) and I really enjoyed my stay, room was beautiful (remember to request a renovated room) and the view was breathtaking!
I also had lunch, dinner and went to the bar on the 87th floor and I did enjoy everything, however I thought the beer prices were a bit expensive!
Overall, I loved this hotel and will definitely stayed again in the future.
