Very nice space and attentive staff - including the owner. We were met at the door by Ramazan and seated immediately. He took our drink order as we perused the menu.
The food and drinks were amazing, only to be eclipsed by the high level of service - not just for Shanghai standards, but for pretty much anywhere. My wife is a vegetarian, and while there are only a handful of options on the menu, the choices were delicious and a breath of fresh air from most Shanghai restaurants. We started with the Muhammara which is a red pepper and walnut paste served with bread that was outstanding. I then had the chef's mixed kabab plate and it was amazing...all of the different cuts of meat were cooked to perfection, and the accompanying veggies were tasty and perfectly prepared. My wife had the grilled vegetable platter and the array of veggies was perfect and perfectly cooked. The sauces were also all outstanding. We finished it off with a rice pudding and 2 glasses of Raki...an anise flavored liquor...very nice
