This hotel is a close walking distance to the Bund and Nanjing Rd., perfect for sightseeing, eating nearby and shopping. There are loads of street food and market offerings right outside the hotel.

Hotel itself is dated, staff have limited understanding of English language, i.e. confirmed our taxi information 3 times then had issues understanding if we were discussing AM or PM. We booked a family room for our group that had 3 single beds. Room lighting is mediocre, but we did not spend too much time here.

We were able to store our bags on our last day in Shanghai with this hotel which was useful.

I had a suite but was disappointed by the condition of the rooms and the bathroom. it needs a lot of renovations. The Bund and Nanjing Rd are just a few blocks away, was the reason I chose this hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floors are less noisy

For a 4 star rated hotel, service is non existent.Location is good, rooms spacious.Breakfast is terrible, tables left dirty, staff is generally disinterested .As we were checking out early in the morningwe asked the day before for a breakfast box.The staff simply forgot about it,without any apology or explanation given.

Room Tip: Best views,top floors

This hotel has one big thing going for it - the location, so close to The Bund and Nanjing Rd. The rooms are quite large (we had a suite) and reasonably well equipped, but the furniture and decor are old and tired. The TVs (old CRT types) had only a couple of channels in English, and the reception was very noisy and poor quality.
The worst feature was the breakfasts - they were monotonously the same limited choice every day, and all the food which should have been hot was cold, because they put it in unheated bain-maries. A complaint to the Assistant Manager about this had no result.
All in all, well past its prime.

Room Tip: Ask for a Bund view on a high floor.

A stradard hotel in a good location close to Nanjing and Bund. Excellent breakfast. The restaurants were not too attractive, but there are plenty of choises just around the corner. With the special offer, good value for the money.
