We were 3 couples traveling together. We had an overnight layover in San Jose. We choose this hotel based on the great amenities it came with. They provided round trip transportation from and to the airport, rooms with descent beds and hot showers, a hot breakfast, pool and a delicious restaurant for dinner options. The staff was so friendly and kind and their grounds are actually really nice to walk around.

Staff was the best to be precise Josue`, Lorenzo, Emanuel and Vianna! She is the only employee who is not family, which I think is anther amazing feature when you meet them. Josue` was great and my first contact. I spoke with him over the phone before I booked to discuss all the details. This made me feel safe, I don't know why but putting a voice to a name and being able to book directly to ensure my reservations, was very welcoming. After that we had great communication via Email in regards to shuttle pick up times and flight details. I am sorry if I mix the next to up but Lorenzo was our dinner server and let me say it was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meal, you will not be disappointed. They didn't mind that we brought our own Tequila to dinner, which was very cool. Emanuel gave us a tour around the gardens the next day pointing out birds, naming plants and just satisfying our curiosity. LOL Vianna served us breakfast which got our day going. A 2 plate breakfast consisting of fresh fruit, breads, coffee, juice and then your choice of Typical ("Tico" which is beans, rice and eggs) or American (pancakes and eggs).

Our shuttle was there waiting for us just as promised and outlined throughout the Emails. Our return trip to the airport was in plenty of time to catch our flight to Tambor. Pool was clean and plenty of chairs in sun or shade. Towels available as well. We had no issues with anything.

It was a very smooth transition for us and we would stay here again and recommend this place to others. If you are passing threw this is a great option for your money.

Cons: shampoo bottle is hard plastic not easy to get out- no conditioner- no king size bed

We spent our last night in Costa Rica at this hotel. It was a decent room with a nice enough pool and a very good restaurant. There's lots of green space, though planes fly directly overhead and the motorcycles drowned out any sounds of nature.

The shuttle was unable to pick us up from the area mall at 4pm because "it [the shuttle] was out, but didn't show any pick ups, so it would be better to take a taxi". The shuttle did deliver us to the airport at 6am as promised.

The breakfast opened at 7am, but we needed to depart for our flight at 6. The staff was kind to fix us some lunch meat sandwiches with a banana and drink. It would have been nice to have received a partial refund on the price we paid for the room (that included four full breakfasts).

There was a laundry room located next to our room that was open and appeared to be available for guest use. We washed (without soap) and dried our clothes that we soiled traveling around the country the previous week. Over two hours later (after we'd removed the last shirt), the reception desk informed us there had been "a report filed by housekeeping" that we'd used the laundry. He asked us for $8 and I gave him $10. I'm not sure why we paid for anything other than a couple bucks for water and electricity.

Overall, this was the least favorite lodging we stayed in of the more than 30 hotels, cabinas, and resorts over the last two years.

Dear Guest!

Thank you for your review!

Did you assumed the laundry was open to public which is not. You are not able to used any hotel equipment on your preference and later no be charge just because you thought we should not do it. Things does not work like that any where in the world. It is not only about electricity or water. It's about the respect.

Next time we recommend you to ask for other different services in any other hotel.

Regards,

We had a great experience here. This is a family business and they took great care of us. They picked us up at the airport and it was a quick trip back (no traffic in this direction versus other hotels). We had Vamos deliver our car to the hotel too. We stayed there again the night before we flew out and got shuttled back to the airport. Very accommodating stay!

Room Tip: All rooms are pretty good and include the basics you need.

Flew into San Jose and stayed overnight before setting off on birding trip. Also stayed on last night of trip before flying home the next day.
Rooms were of a good size, with comfortable beds, lovely hot showers (not just a trickle) and air conditioning.
Had time to use the swimming pool which was refreshingly cool - not huge but adequate.
Breakfast buffet was delicious - fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, hot choice, tea and coffee.
Other meals also tasty and freshly cooked plus the serving staff were friendly and helpful.
Would recommend if needing a hotel near to airport.

Room Tip: Ground floor room near pool was excellent.

I was happy with my room ...basic, but it had good AC and a comfortable bed. The hotel has a pleasant restaurant on-site, and breakfast is included (which was excellent). Free shuttle service to the airport and to local pick-up points for day tours. Nice pool area and helpful staff.
