I brought a group of adults and children to Victoria's House. We all agreed (especially the children) that this was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Costa Rica. The family host are amazing, caring and very accommodating. The children in our group were able to make friends (even though the didn't speak any Spanish and the host children did not speak English). The host worked with the students to have them share their respective languages with each other. We were able to experience what life is like as a "tica" (milking a cow, authentic home cooked meals, cooking lessons, tours of the local jungle/waterfall, playing musical chairs with the neighbors on our last night there, to name a few).
We enjoyed ourselves and learned more in our 2 days here than we learned the entire week. We will definitely be back but this time we will stay longer!
