I began searching for a nice place to stay for our family vacation, a lot of the places I called could not accommodate all of us. There was a total of 5 adults and one 6 month old baby, when I spoke with Milena who is in charged of reservations and I explained my situation and what I needed she pulled some strings and gave us one of their luxury villas called Casa Blanca. When we got there around 5:30pm after a long drive from San Jose, I could not complain. We got to see the sun set over looking Bahia Hermosa and the Papagayo Gulf, words cannot describe how beautiful this was. The house had everything we needed for our stay, and a wonderful private infinity pull that was awesome and the baby got to enjoy for the first time. I really will like to thank again Milena who was just an outstanding person in helping us accomplish our needs, and for helping us out with the house keys that by the way we took it with us and she found a relative to meet us half way so we can return it. Overall we will keep great memories of this wonderful place and will always be thankful for those who made it happen. Another thing you will need a car that can handle a steep hill if not you wont make it to the villa. Also the hotel pool I guess they close early and when we went down the slides were not working and there was no one around to ask what was going on but o well we still enjoyed the pool area.

Room Tip: Most of their villas have great views and great accommodations but remember the higher you go up the mountain the more breath taking views you will get.

Just a short walk to the beach with spectacular views (the higher up the mountain, the better) this is a hotel made up of private villas. Ours had more room than we needed and was very comfortable. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful recommending and booking all our excursions. They made us feel special. Loved the location which is a short distance to Coco and Tamarindo. Playa Hermosa is a beautiful, uncrowded beach with just enough restaurants to allow Hermosa Heights guests to stay local. Loved the pool with the double slide. Enjoyed breakfast, live music and the movie theater on sight. We stayed 9 days and can't wait to go back. Kudos to owner Rich Levy who has a hands on approach and created a paradise we can all enjoy!

Guanacaste has many beautiful beaches but there is one very special for me... Hermosa beach. Here we found Hermosa Heights a smmal hotel villas all furnished specal for families. it has only ten villas swimming pool, restaurant, jacuzzy, mini golf camp, theater, bar.
The villas are equipment with all you need for cooking thsat`s why we decide to stayed here.
The hotel is eight hundred meters away from the beach, but the walking is ok and not danderous.
In the area there are many restaurants, mini markets and other atractions like beaches.

I stayed in Hermosa Heights (Villa 18) for 5 weeks in November/December 2012. The property and staff were great but the location (without a vehicle) is difficult. The property is located about a 10 minute walk from the beach, which is wonderful but it is an hour bus ride to the next town (where everything is located). If you have a vehicle, it is not a problem but without one it makes getting around quite difficult.

Carlos, the property manager, is the best. He and his staff were wonderful and make sure the properties are well-maintained and the guests needs are met.

All in all I had a wonderful time in Playa Hermosa for my five week stay with Hermosa Heights as my home base. Next time, however, I will be certain to rent a car.

Playa Hermosa was one of our favorite beaches and these houses sit in the mountains above, overlooking Papagayo Bay. No waves, so great beach for children to swim and play in the sand. We had 9 people, but the house was large enough with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The kids loved the wrap around patio and private infinity pool out back with pool bar and shower. Views were amazing from this mountain! Only criticism is that the place is a bit run-down which is a shame for such a nice place. This includes the community pool which was empty, no kids club or activities were available and the trampoline is torn in many places. Very good value however at $1,200 for the week, for such a nice home. Good choice, for the home and mostly for the access to such a great beach (and not too far from the Liberia Airport and visits to National Parks and other things).

Room Tip: We stayed in Casa Coolfire and each home is slightly different, but we would recommend this home to others, knowing its a little run-down for such a nice home.

Thanks so much for your kind words. We are just in the process of taking over the property and certainly appreciate your feedback and your business. We wanted to let you know that as we enter into the slower season of the year, we have several updates and in general taking care of a lot of the deferred maintenance on the property and villas as well as a complete refresh of the kids areas and the pool bar.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the refreshed and renewed Hermosa Heights Villas soon!
