Finca Paz y Flora
Reviewed 18 June 2010

I absoulutely loved staying at this retreat. It really is a place that forces you to get away from the stress and strife of the everyday. The sights and sounds of nature are everywhere and you really become one with all of it. I also loved the fresh fruit on the property, as well as the opportunity to go pick my salad for lunch, just a short hike from my bedroom! Roni is very accommodating and strives to ensure her guests accomplish their goals while at her retreat. It was a wonderful experience and very affordable as well. It really recharged me and I will definitely be back! --

Finca Paz y Flora is the perfect place if you need to relax and unwind. The farm is ideally situated to give you stunning views across the southern Costa Rican mountains.
The food is truly excellent - your hostess will conjure up delicious meals to your specifications, or just surprise you with home-grown and local delights.

Finca Paz y Flora is located in a farming community, and perfect for somebody looking for a quiet, soul-restoring retreat and artistic inspiration. If you happen to be interested in organic farming, then this is your place, too!. Or, you may be travelling through Costa Rica, and want to see a piece of it that's virtually untouched by tourism.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
We offer a quiet and peaceful tropical environment retreat with garden style living. Our guests receive simple and delicious meals prepared with local and organic ingredients. This is like a bed and breakfast, but with lunch and dinner, too. Since we are half an hour from the nearest town, we offer a package rate that includes all meals, transfer to and from San Vito, and the opportunity to relax and enjoy the local foods, flora and fauna of this wonderfully diverse bioregion. We can also help with tour coordination - in country transportation reservations and recommendations. We are located in a farm community, far from the cities and tourist activities, so we don't really offer tours, but will help coordinate any travel you want to do while you stay, and will arrange your transfers from San Jose to get here. We work with our guests to design their perfect retreat, whether it be to write a book, paint, meditate, or just hang out in a hammock and unplug from a busy lifestyle. ... more   less
