Great hotel with amazing food. Let me just say the buffet breakfast is by far the most amazing thing. Such variety of fresh hearty food. They have a garden that grows real fruits. The pool area is amazing although the water was wayyyy to cold. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa with full kitchen, dinning area, and living room. No tvs in the bedrooms. Just one in thw livingroom which was fine. Villa was very clean although thwy didnt seem to know what a wash rag was., kinda weird. The front desj attendant was extremely hwlpful and friendly. He even helped me work on my spanish by holf conversations with me in spanish and correcting and mistakes i made. Loved tgis place will definately stay here again.

Looks beautiful from the outside and in pictures. Pool and Jacuzzi were nice. The room is very worn and outdated. Not attractive, although clean. Beds were comfortable. Full kitchen is nice - but absolutely no cookware/dishes/silverware provided. Worst was an overwhelming smell of insecticide. The only reason to stay here is if you have some reason to be in the immediate area.

People here know English and Spanish, and are very friendly. It rains a lot but every problem that arises they solve within seconds. Service is amazing and the bar inside is even more awesome with all kinds of fresh fruit drinks! Awesome pool and definitely the best place around!

Stayed here with my dad for what we thought would be a 4-5 day vacation. We actually cancelled our reservation after 1 night and flew back to the US. Far away from the airport and not much to do around the hotel. They do have day trips that you can schedule at the concierge desk, but they all leave early in the morning (8am or earlier).

The room was spacious but in some dire need of an upgrade. It had a full kitchen but no cooking or eating utensils. So you can't really make any food unless you buy your own utensils. Our room had 2 separate bedrooms with our own closet and dresser. The mattress was pretty firm and I slept decently enough on it.

They have a big pool right next to where people can eat, but with kids running around and splashing, it's not the best spot to sit down and enjoy a meal. The hot tub was not hot at all. It was lukewarm at best. The jets worked, which was nice. But I wouldn't call it a "hot tub" at all.

They have a bar on site that says it opens at 5:00pm, although the bartender showed up at 5:10pm and started setting up for the evening. I ordered a mojito, which wasn't the greatest one I've ever had, but passable.

They do have breakfast, lunch, and dinner on site, but only the breakfast is complimentary. They have a good spread of options although there was no hot meat, like bacon or anything of that nature, there was only cold cuts of ham.

All in all, I probably wouldn't stay here again if I had the choice. Too far away from everything and if you want to do something in a day you have to get up at the crack of dawn to do it.

Dear Nick,
We are so sorry you missed out on enjoying our beautiful country. Costa Rica has world known amazing sites and tourist attractions. You can find many of these tours from our hotel. Yes, most of the tours in Costa Rica leave at around 8am or earlier so you can enjoy a half day or full day at the attraction. We have river rafting, rain forest adventures, zip lining , white water rafting, volcano tours and more available. Our hotel is 30 min from the international airport which is in the outskirts of San Jose and we are centrally located 5 minutes from downtown San Jose in a neighborhood that feels like an oasis from the big city.
Because we are a certified "green hotel” the hot tub is not on all the time. As stated in the hotel information, you can ask the front desk to turn it on to hot when you want to use it. It usually takes less than 10 minutes for it to be hot tub hot.
We also have many kitchen utensils for our guests to use, you can call housekeeping any time and ask for whatever you need.
We do hope you come back to Costa Rica and enjoy al this beautiful country has to offer.

Best regards,

Randall Lara

This was a nice, secure place to stay. Unfortunately, while the kitchen has a stove, refrigerator and microwave, it does not come equipped with any dishes, utensils, cookware, linens or hot water. You may be able to ask for them - we didn't because we fortunately brought our own.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the main door. The noise can be disruptive when other guests leave very early in the morning.
