Thank you so very much for your kind words! It is greatly appreciated! We strive to make our guests stay in the best place and work hard to insure all guests are comfortable, warm, safe and enjoy our facilities. We love people and find that it enriches our lives tremendously to get to know them like yourselves! Again, thank you and we hope we have the distinct pleasure to host you again someday in the future! Jim.
Our stay at the small sleeping cabin on the lake was a wonderful experience. We loved that the location seemed remote while so close to town. We received excellent directions to the property and it was a breeze to find. We so enjoyed the owners, Jim and Lisa, Who were so hospitable and really added to the stay with their local advice and stories of "life in Alaska". We even had a deck party with the other folks staying there. The sleeping cabin is small, but has everything you need. It has a lot of special touches, from a copper sink to stain glass windows, that really class it up. The only thing I would add is more hooks to hang my stuff on! It's a very economical choice for the area and not your typical hotel room. If you are looking for an Alaskan experience with the convenience of a nearby town, this is the place for you. We definitely will be staying here again on our next trip to the area.
We enjoyed your company and as excellent guests of ours, you are most welcomed back anytime! Thank you so much for your kind review!!!!!
Jim and Lisa were fabulous hosts. They made me feel very welcome chatting about Alaska and providing tips on how to enjoy the area. They also cooked breakfast (an unexpected bonus.) The cabin is incredible. You sleep in a loft upstairs and downstairs there's a sink, microwave, fridge, couch, table and even a tv. The only thing missing was the bathroom. You had to walk a fairly long walkway to get to the main house to use the toilet. Fortunately, I have great bladder control! Jim is working on a shorter walkway though, so it should be much better soon. The cabin is small, perfect for one person, a bit tight for two. There are two other guest accommodations on the property, so it feels very safe. The lake view was great and it was close to town. All in all it was a fabulous stay!
It is always wonderful to have a guest like yourself and we are humbled by your positive remarks. Being subjective, others find the walk (about 25 steps) to be short to the lav, however it may be. LOL. Its long when you have to use it quick, its short when its no problem. Go figure. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again whenever you are in the great state of Alaska again!
