By chance we stumbled upon Vino when we were in Orewa last week. It was like finding NZ's best kept secret. We were transported to Greece in a heartbeat. I had the fish and my husband had the seafood chowder. Our stomachs were full and so were our hearts. Friendly warm waitstaff and the chef even came to say hello. We will definitely be back!!

Went here with a group of friends including two toddlers. We chose it after seeing reviews and comments that it was a family friendly restaurant.
The staff were confused as to whether there were eight or ten in the party and had set the table for 8, personally I would have erred on the side of caution, it is easier to take chairs away than add them as we found. Also the high chair had to be squashed in too. Things just seemed a little chaotic from our arrival and didn't improve. We ordered drinks and after waiting quite some time had to remind the wait staff. It took ages for the food to come by which time the youngest child was getting quite fractious which was disturbing other diners.
When it arrived the food was very nice, everyone enjoyed their meals and all the dishes were tasty and well presented.
I wouldn't say the restaurant is family friendly or caters well for larger parties, it is quite small and was at times uncomfortably hot.
There were a number of parties of four and one family with older children which they seemed better able to cope with. I would happily recommend the restaurant to that type of dining just not to larger parties and smaller children, the wait time is too long.

Great food, great price, great service!

The food came out in a timely manner. Our waitress was very knowledgable of the menu and their selection of wines never fail to satisfy!

If you do go, please save space for desert. The desert is the biggest highlight, me and my partner now order the deserts as takeaway every now and then as a treat!

The fish was divine and really good portion!! Susan our waitress was so attentive. Even tried Sea Food Chowder for the first time and it certainly did not disappoint.
