The 4 Seasons Bora Bora is a perfect place to chill after your honeymoon.

We had an absolute blast at our stay in Bora Bora. We went for an overwater bungalow, the cheapest available, figuring we couldn't really go wrong. Our view looked towards the resort over the water... and our swimming deck faced due west towards sunset. It was spectacular.

There isn't a much better feeling than falling asleep to the sounds of a french polynesian band while sleeping over a lagoon in a beautiful "hotel room".

Yes, it might be the most expensive place in the world. But we planned accordingly for our honeymoon. We did the breakfast and dinner package, and made sure we ate late so we were never hungry for lunch... and took full advantage of dinner. Our favorite dinner spot was the casual sunset bar -- ordering boat loads of sushi.

The sea life in the lagoon is sort of hit or miss. You see sting rays and the off shark cruising around. Plenty of little fish to look at, but the lagoon itself is mostly just sand. It's not exactly teaming with fish... but thats why you need to do some sort of excursion.

We rented jet-skis and went around the entire island one morning. Which was brilliant. Super calm and crystal clear blue waters. We also rented a boat for six hours, and hit every site to see. We snorkeled with with sharks / rays, saw giant barracuda and lemon sharks, moray eels, and tons more. It's a slight bummer to watch the islanders feed the fish... but what can you do. Tourism is what keeps that place alive. We also had a picnic on a private motu with table in the water which was unreal.

All in all, if you're looking for a relaxing honeymoon and can afford it... you can't really go wrong here.

Room was excellent and view spectacular. Facilities were great. Staff was amazing. The food was good but not enough choice if you are going for more than 3-4 days. There was absolutely nothing negative to say really. It is everything that I expected and more.

Room Tip: get the mountain view room. Totally worth the extra cost

The bungalows are spacious, very private and beautiful. We travelled with 2 children and the entire family adored everything about the hotel. The only negative (if there is one) is that the bungalows are built over sand and there are very few fish. Therefore you can't really snorkel outside your room (unlike when we stayed at the now-defunct Hotel Bora Bora 14 years ago). However, there's a lagoon at the hotel filled with tons of colorful fish so you won't want for terrific snorkeling experiences!

Room Tip: Some of the bungalows are quite far from the main area of the hotel (where the pool and restaurants are located).

This place was on our bucket list, and it was definitely the "trip of a lifetime"!! We love the Four Seasons, because everything they do is first class all the way. But in Bora Bora, our expectations were exceeded!! The service, the food, the over-water bungalows.... everything was magical. They pick you up at the airport by private boat and whisk you to the resort. As you arrive, no need to line up at the reception desk - a cart awaits you to take you directly to your bungalow, where the check-in process takes place, in air-conditioned comfort. The views from the bungalow were breathtaking... the water, pure turquoise, and very warm...The amenities were first-rate and the bungalow itself was huge.... the air-conditioning was a blessing after spending time outside, and, of course, there was always the lagoon which was only a few steps away down your private ladder off your deck. If you really want to treat yourself, this is the place!
