Bustards Birding Tours provided me with an unbelievable day of birding. It was fantastic. Niall Perrins knows his birds! We went to three diverse habitats in the Johannesburg-Pretoria area and saw many birds – many ‘up close and personal’. It was a great way for me to add many beautiful African birds to my Life List. It was a wonderful experience that I highly recommend. The personable service and accommodations provided were first class. It was a fun day!

Had an amazing trip to the Northern Cape with Kerry and Justin in June 2015. Their dedication to find all the tough birds was commendable and I really loved the friendly casual atmosphere of the whole trip – the service provided was excellent – thank you! I have had the pleasure of birding with Niall Perrins of Bustards Birding on a number of occasions, in a range of habitats around Gauteng, in KwaZulu Natal, in the Cape and on a Durban pelagic.
I have always found Niall exceptionally knowledgeable, perceptive and alert to the needs of the clients (whether they want to identify the birds themselves, find specific species or just go "species bashing" etc.).
He has a great ability to find the species you are looking for and finds a surprising number of rarities on his trips (recently not one but two gull-billed terns in quite short succession).
He has found me a lot of lifers.
He is also good company, which makes a difference if you are going to be driving around the countryside for long periods of time!
