Was very surprised at this haven in the middle of the busy suburb
Old classic house, wooden floors, large rooms and amazing view over the Durban harbor
Will definitely be back there at the end of May!

Lovely place to stay, rooms spacious, great breakfast, beautiful views of the harbour.
The host was fantastic and accommodating.
The only negative is that I am an avid runner and it did not feel safe to run from the guesthouse without a short travel.

TV fuzzy even after reporting it.. 4 star must have minimum of 12 channels, digital safe, extra blanket, gown - did not comply. Bed cover looked old and moth eaten. No desk for computer. Toilet running - flush mechanism stuck. Reported but not fixed. Wasting water. Breakfast quantity and variety not same as photos. I have hip and knee issues - no railings to hold onto.

This is a great location with a view over Durban harbour. The hosts have exceptional knowledge of the area and on arrival provide you with a map, showing the location of places to eat which they recommend.

We were Warmly received and wecolmed by the Owners. Pleasant, comfortable, clean and homely rooms. Good breakfast. Easy access to most amenities and shopping malls. A safe and secure environment. Highly recommended.

We had a great time staying at Ridgeview Lodge, but missed the fact that we could not have food in our room. Gary and Tosca was very nice and helpful and gave us very nice breakfast ever day, so all in all we had a very good stay. Thanks a lot😄

Greetings Sissel and Ellen, sure is wonderful to hear from you both, many thanks for the review, golly we miss you, great to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, sadly food in the bedrooms is a problem, imagine curry and spice, fish and chips etc the smell it leaves behind in the curtains, carpets and bedding and then we've had the guests cleaning their hands on the bedding and towels. Secondly the food attracts the little black ants by the millions. Anyway, keep well, lots a luv Gary & Tosca xx
