Very busy and informal establishment. You can witness the large pots being tendered to by these masterful cooks. In-house dining available however takeaways also available at the shop at the entrance.

Popped into Solly Manjra's today with the family (5 pax) for their lunch buffet. Wasn't impressed at all. Besides the lamb breyani that tasted amazing, everything else was very average, and we didn't enjoy the spread. Definitely wont be back for their buffet. As for their lamb breyani, now that is an absolute winner. I will go back just for their breyani.

I visit this establishment very often. If you looking for good homemade food and don't have the time to make it, this place is definitely a thumbs up on my books. I normally only buy the biryani and dhall. This is a family favourite and even for functions, I tend to think of them first.

Variety of different foods from sojee gajar halwa to jardhoo as sweets. Chicken, lamb, and luckhnow breyani. Salads papads and sour milk spoilt for choice. Went for a jummah lunch. If it's a holiday period it's best to phone and make a booking it's a popular spot. Enjoyed every bit and will definitely be going back. Money well spent.

This is a typical Friday post-Jummah Salaat lunch that has become legendary. It has become so popular that an additional venue, Crescent Hall, has been hired to cater for the holiday crowds on Fridays during the December-January school holidays. Since Christmas 2015 fell on Friday, all three venues were very busy, with Crescent Hall catering for about 600 patrons. One gets good value for money - different kinds of sweet dishes as starters, a few beryanis, the traditional dhall and rice, and even chicken with rolls. Add to that papadum, sambas and pickles - it is just like the traditional family meal home, but with a very large family! Solly Manjra himself exhorts you to eat to your fill and beyond - his "argument" is that the wife should not have to prepare supper on Friday evening if you take advantage of the various offerings on his buffet table!!!
