Shemariah is a well-managed guest house that offers the professional travelling on business or a family on vacation an idyllic getaway. The tranquil well maintained gardens are a welcome after a long day in the office to sip your wine or enjoy the evening air amidst the sounds of the African birds and soft murmuring of the insect’s night life.

The superb bedrooms are well positioned and serviced to add to the home away from home feel.

The breakfast served at Shemariah is healthy, balanced and nothing is too much for the owner cum manger Trix who is a seasoned professional in the industry. Trix will go out of her way to ensure that your every whim is catered for. Nothing is too big or too small for this establishment – so much so that WiFi was installed to ensure that I was kept abreast with my business operations during my stay.

An added advantage of Shemariah is that it is in close proximity to the Gautrain making it a place of choice for the discerning traveller. I cannot recommend this establishment enough and I have gone back to Shemariah on several occasions - always to even better service and food than the one before.

Room tip: choose the upstairs rooms as they offer you a good view of the sunset , a braai area, and outdoor dining facilities. a WOW factor to enjoy the african sunset...
